QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Aug 24 2018, 11:43 PM) So, you order PRIVATE operated foods inside wechat group then transfer wechat balance to them? Or it's official food orders from Wechat MY? definitely not official food orders from WeChat MY. I scan the runner's QR code, contacted that person, asked him to go to Nando's and buy a cheesecake for me, then send to a friend of mine. When he's verified my order, he wechat me telling me how much in total I need to pay, and I chose to pay him using wechat angpao. after receiving angpao, he carried out my order.

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Aug 24 2018, 11:52 PM) OIC How much you paid his runner fee? RM 10. which i think is acceptable. because that includes going to Nando's, queue up, make order, then send to another place. saves my time!

QUOTE(talexeh @ Aug 24 2018, 11:57 PM) If you don't mind me asking, what's stopping him from ignoring your order since it sounds like you paid him first. Just trying to understand any potential loop holes that I might not be aware of. no, he didnt ignore my order. I have to pay him first (the food price + delivery fee) before he can start running for me.

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Aug 25 2018, 10:12 AM) this is just basically trust deals, it's ok for small amounts lah... yeap, correct. i just wanted to try the service for the first time, and also try sending angpao, besides my actual purpose of getting the food sent to somebody.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 28 2018, 03:35 PM) No promotions currently. Wonder why KK mart isn't doing a promotion for Wechat Pay, while they've done it for others like Boost / TnG / Mcash before. maybe their strategy is do it slow and do it quietly and once in a while some surprise (which is not good in this era, plus its competitors are already so aggressively promoting already) or perhaps it is our government who is trying to protect local e-wallets by surpressing wechat wallet? (although i dont think so LOL)

QUOTE(katowwe @ Aug 29 2018, 07:54 AM) Wechat Pay Malaysia also has the problem when you gonna register as merchant. When you want register as merchant, you need submit your sale report. Like how much your sale per month, minimum how much your customer spend. Why they need this? Boost no need this to register. I think Wechat Pay Malaysia still cant fight with Boost now, Boost is more function and useful. i see. from merchants' point of view, this additional step will make them feel troublesome. in terms of registration fee, any comparison between wechat pay and boost?

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 29 2018, 11:25 AM) But isn't Wechat Pay more into business than investment? If that's really the case with their govt, good luck then. Seeing the current stage of Wechat Pay here, I believe they're gonna be more into expansion than promotion. But they gotta loosen up their policies first. but promotion and expansion go hand in hand. without promotion, expansion is difficult. if normal people like us know this simple rule, the team should know better.

sharing my experience:
in my wechat pay wallet I have RM 20. One day I wanted to reload RM 30 to my prepaid card. The system automatically detected that I had insufficient credit in my wechat pay wallet, so just directed me to my e-banking page. After reloaded, my RM 20 remained in my wechat pay wallet, untouched.
