I have just experienced ordering food from wechat yesterday. Well the service provider actually works as a runner. I leave my order to them. then they help me to go buy food, and send to somebody. Throughout the whole process I just sit in my office, and paid using WeChat angpao. I got to know this service from the QR code spread by the service provider.

what do you mean by please share how? you mean you want the QR code? by the way I am in Kuching.

I scan the runner's QR code, contacted that person, asked him to go to Nando's and buy a cheesecake for me, then  send to a friend of mine. When he's verified my order, he wechat me telling me how much in total I need to pay, and I chose to pay him using wechat angpao. after receiving angpao, he carried out my order. 

RM 10. which i think is acceptable. because that includes going to Nando's, queue up, make order, then send to another place. saves my time!

If you don't mind me asking, what's stopping him from ignoring your order since it sounds like you paid him first.

Just trying to understand any potential loop holes that I might not be aware of.

Not any platform, but BNM & it's subsidiary PayNet will come out with an unified QR Code system which all e-money issuers and banks able to interoperate when it comes to credit transfer (regardless with E-wallet or bank accounts you have). The catch is that all issuers and Bank will be sharing one common identifier, that's our personal identities from a single Database called NAD. Lots of articles to read up about ICTF from BNM policy.

That is kinda lame but I am sure they will fix and increase the limits over time.

LOLz.........might take time for BNM to allow an increase in the amounts for security and also since the e-wallet's are in infant stage.

Many of the newly registered e-wallet's are still fairly new. Some of them, never even heard of before.

is there a list of merchants which allow us to use wechat pay to pay for items?

also, last week i got RM88.88 (max free ang pao) from the promo thing, can i withdraw this money? any charges? some say yes, some say no, i also got confused.

on the withdrawal timeframe, some say within 24 hours, some 1 week still not in their bank account.

I think that there are not many merchants under them yet. No point of doing promotions now if customer cannot finds place to spend. But I guess promotions will be real soon once they find any big merchant that are worthy to throw money.
