because i really want the bigger VRAM. Kinda jealous on 3090's big VRAM

maybe $150 more, $100 seems too low for 10GB GDDR6X chips. If the new radeon is good maybe nvidia will priced better

Nvidia kept making the rt running more efficiently. Even the original star wars rtx demo originally ran on 4 quadros, after few months the same scene can be ran on just 1 identical quadro (admitted by Nvidia themselves)

actually i want to run some apps in the background while game at the same time
system ram can always be added but vram had to get bigger vram cards
also non gaming apps that uses cuda usually runs better on cuda than opencl

Because Asus decided to have that huge RGB strip, the geforce rtx logo had to be moved abit to allow airflow out from the heatsink...

Why they didn't combined the ROG logo and the Geforce RTX logo in the center of the RGB strip?

how much for 3080 strix oc version and normal version?

some morherboard are like that leh. My previous gigabyte z170 motherboard has the dual channel setting with the ram put side by side. I was shocked when i opened it to clean and saw "wtf why i put single channel" but from the manual book it was dual channel lolz

Current games rarely uses full 8 core 16 threads yet, maybe next year it will. Why not just overclock the 8700k to 4.9 or 5Ghz, it'll run almost as fast on most games that doesn't hammer on full 16 threads.

relax, maybe it was his pc bought years ago and when he doesn't have much money to spend on pc parts yet. Now it is his next upgrade cycle so waiting for new platform, it's not wrong to use that old pc while waiting to get a new one.
