So new drivers proven to improve stability and many are no longer reporting crashses.

HUB did a mini-rebench and found no difference in performance with the new drivers.



Also, the whole MLCC vs. POSCAP = apparently it's not the issue, well...  the clockspeed spikes tend to be more forgiving on MLCC thus MLCC gave the impression of being more "stable" but in the end the drivers helped and no longer becomes a MLCC/POSCAP issue.

I wont be comfortable having my system peak load at 80% of the psu. if there’s any spike it will definitely crash. The best is to have peak loads at 60% of the psu. 750w is kind at the very borderline. If it’s not for corsair SF750 being the best 750w out there , the average 750w will definitely crash hence the whole RTX3080 crashing drama. 

And you damn brave running your SF600 at almost 100% lol. I’m waiting for the coolermaster 850w sfx. Having a bigger headroom is definitely a much better option will monitor to see how good it is when i get it, while waiting for other manufacurers especially corsair to release a 850w sfx and above also.

Ya lor. I want AMD to succeed since competition is always good for consumers, but so many rounds also like this already. Leaks say wow, amazing performance - will dethrone nVidia etc etc. Then ...mid range only. So I will only be convinced when benchmarks are out.

With COVID starting to get worse again... stock situation will get worse and all these supplies will get more expensive

By the way, for people with only 1440p monitor, just activate DSR and downsample from 4K. much cleaner image.

Haha,  won't be for long until true next gen games come out with higher fidelity assets and ray tracing.

For some reason boost clock looks higher on the new driver for 3080 but on my 3090 boost clock not looking good

Temp wise on Asus Tuf 3080 I gotta say its freaking awesom 63c while gaygay 3090 sucks at 73c

TUF 3090 temp also quite impressive, under 70c while still silent

24-27C should be fine.

Yeah very impressed with the TUF, went with this model over waiting for strix cause itx (also malas fight for strix which im guessing everyone is waiting for)

I have 4k RM set aside now and no gpu. I wish they will say when they will restock the 3080. If have to wait few more months I will have 8k to 9k rm set aside and no gpu.

At this point unless you willing to fork out money for bundle new pc build or get rtx 3090 . Getting 3080 will be quite a challenge , not to mention now covid case spiking up .
People will look into preparing to go hibernation mode now . Stuff like this will be hot cake

If you cant wait just get a cheap gpu at least you can play something . You wont miss much getting 3080 to be honest unless you are using 4k tv or monitor

Nvidia is king now but I really want underdog to succeed . Furthermore this generation of console used AMD GPU it will be interesting if they have their own version of ray tracing that doesnt kill frame rate that much

AMD is hopeless with tensorflow. Which is the reason why im very interested with an RTX3080/3090 eventho im using a 1080p 60hz hahaha

Bcuz if u see review, with OC can reach near 3090 level, albeit lesser by 14gb vram
