I would say the advantage of using the bigger brands is easier warranty claims

why is why I was looking forward to the asus tuf even before the review came out, because only asus has service center in sabah, i can easily send it over for warranty after no more free supports from the shop, it is just besides the shop...

Mini led is not an OLED replacement, for that you will have to wait for microLED. Its 1152 lighting zones vs OLED 8 million individual pixels.
*
oh damn, my mistake it was microled that was the replacement.

hopefully by the time my monitor rosak, 4K 144Hz would be cheap that time.

Well, microled is an oled replacement when you go really big and $$$... https://www.samsung.com/us/business/product...w-led/the-wall/

Gotta start saving that $
*
oled would never really be used on computer monitors so microled is the one to wait. If tv can just go for oled

wait for the reviews. Latest leaked bench, even the 5800x multithreaded performance is quite close to the 3900x despite only 8 cores. Then the gaming performance advantage too.

COD vram usage kinda misleading sometimes. When it detects you got alot of VRAM it'll preload alot of data inside or "claim" the VRAM allocation first by the game. The true indication if VRAM is not enough is performance loss, just like on DOOM 8GB vs 10GB on the highest settings.

I wonder what the re-sale value is for the trinity is after the noise made about poscaps even though the driver was the issue.
*
the card itself is not really that good. Even before the driver fix it's performance is even lower than the FE version...

The variants are real. My aib and few other ppl aib sources confirmed it. Its the reason why a certain 3360/4699 was priced at that price point.

Btw the one i know is 3080super and 3060ti..
As for the cancelation.. got to check.

Move on.
*
the 999usd pricetag you mentioned before was from those sources too?

The ventus got some weight to it but it doesn't maintain stock oc. Once hit power limit the clock will drop. Never stable at 19000mhz while gaming but benchmark ok.

Besides it quite hot, reached 78c in gaming. U can see my previous post, my setup got 2 fan below also doesn't help with cooling. Crank up the fan at 80%, helped reduce temp to 73c but got anoying coil whine.

I don't want to oc/undervolt, like to keep at stock.

Overall ventus benchmark ok but gaming no

I would say the AMD 6000 series annoucement is somehow misleading.

No compute performance and specs given.

Few game demo showcase for ray tracing don't even have complex ray tracing techniques put in.

All just about gaming and no info on the advancement of non-gaming features.

Denoiser for ray tracing but didn't gave info on that too. If the GPU own compute unit is used to calculate the ray tracing, the GPU will have a big hit if complex ray tracing techniques are used, kinda explains why some console game developers are kinda 50/50 on using ray tracing on the new gen consoles.

Please Nvidia give us 16GB+ gpus even the rtx3070 or 3070ti, and of course 20GB 3080 ti

3090 is overpriced, but then again the radeon gave me the vibe that it's ray tracing performance is castrated or very limited ray tracing use. No surprise since amd didn't even mention if it has dedicated cores to handle ray tracing, it mentioned denoiser but gave no info on that. Nvidia still offers better overall features in gaming and non-gaming.

Really curious on one thing too. Ethereum mining performance seems like DOA on the AMD 6000 series GPUs. Maybe they gonna hog the Nvidia cards this time...

RDNA2 seems like fully designed arch for gaming (albeit might have castrated ray tracing speed), while Nvidia Ampere is a primarily designed for workstation in mind. That's why performance of things like in 3d rendering is insane over the previous gen but the performance can't be translated well into gaming.

AMD is targeting the gaming market now and frame rates at highest settings is what that matters. For productivity, no doubt CUDA wins but to the majority which are gamers, AMD probably takes the throne now especially if they dont have supply issues like nividia did.

That said. WTB> RTX3080 laugh.gif

hmmm more like that arch is what's required for the new gen consoles too.

but don't forget one thing, amd gpu drivers are.... I used more amd gpus than nvidia so I still feel the pain of driver bugs lol. And from what people has said about 5700 series drivers seems like almost the same.
