QUOTE(babylon52281 @ May 20 2025, 08:37 AM) Solid, Shadow, Ventus, Prime, GamePro are MSRP baseline models. What I meant OC models are the Amp, the Trio, TUF, Gamerock models which arent the high spec but one tier above MSRP model. Depending on the price gap between them, some of these higher tier models might worth it due to its better cooler others its way to highs. It depends. Still it's better to buy next tier base msrp model (ex: rm4100 5070ti) than expensive 5070 models (ex: gigabyte gaming oc 5070 rm3500), only worth to get expensive models if it's the level of 5080 and 5090 because the gap is too big or no higher tiers liao

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ May 20 2025, 08:32 AM) Many of these lowyat price listings are very deceptive, often the quoted CPU and/or mobo prices are for bundling together ( in very small print), and if you ask over the counter, individual price will be different. Its not a recent scalper thing but its been the practice for a long time i seen, still not good if the prices for each differs a lot. As long as they have stock for non bundle, they will sell at MSRP..I got my RX 9070 XT at MSRP as well. From SI integrated. 5060 Ti 16GB will sell right now. RM2-2.1k is reasonable. No competition from RX 7800 XT due to no stock.

AMP is like 4.9k vs solid 4.2k. if Rm200 difference, sure take it but this is RM700. Solid Core is a base model, but not Solid. Almost got scammed by 1 shop where they claimed it was out of stock and offered me solid core instead. Solid core is thinner and use shittier cooler than solid BUT priced higher than Solid in Malaysia. Don't know what kind of mental gymnastics shop does to justify it. SFF probably. I think better cooling and plastic vs metal are more important than boost clock, since comparing against base model, the increase isn't that big. Strix OC vs prime is only 6% difference.

Can nVidia use its own AI to fix the driver? All 57x releases have some abnormalities with my setup. 576.02 seems ok but still has some issues. Not as solid as 566.36 or below.
Damn you nVidia!

Solid is the MSRP model, Solid Core is meant for Geforce SFF compliant card so even more punier but will command higher price cuz it will have SFF/ITX tax. Anything above MSRP is really up to each AIB to justify their higher prices. A bigger/better cooler will give lower temps which can to push boost clocks further up thats why got people for higher tier models. This post has been edited by babylon52281: May 20 2025, 10:19 PM

QUOTE(terradrive @ May 21 2025, 08:08 AM) looks like so so price but why the low end psu being put there As usual lar these prebuilds will have hidden inferior specs. 750W just ngam enuff for 5070Ti if only it was Gold or ATX3.x rated unit but its likely a C tier which wont be enuff to support both high powered CPU & GPU together. Also it has small 1TB m2 SSD, and likely its the DRAMless trash GM7 since its exact model is not stated. Overall its not too bad a system if can change these above to something better.

QUOTE(47100 @ May 21 2025, 10:17 AM) Another bait & switch prebuild. Mobo is Asus AYW model which looks deceptive as the VRM heatsink is just a small piece and the entire shroud which is normally metal, is actually plastic. So its more for looks rather than real function as VRM heatsink. Also the SSD is Legend 860 which is yet another DRAMless trash which its 6000MB/S speed cannot even reach max Gen4 limit.

I beg to differ, EU and US sell solid higher than Core and Solid SFF. Eventhough it is technically an SFF, it's not really a true SFF. Still too thick.

Yeah my bad. Theres 3 versions of Solid; theres Solid Core, Solid, and Solid SFF (which is the SFF compliant I mentioned, its 2 slot height). Then theres the Amp Extreme.
