Have you tried DDU and roll forward to latest driver? Test with Unigine Valley see if still got issue.

Have you tried reflash the firmware? Make sure its the exact one for ur GPU model. Test with Unigine Valley see if still got issue.

If yes for all, likely its a hardware problem, if see Northwestrepair vids it could be a VRAM or core problem.

Yes and no. Its a balance.

A these days lower end GPU like 3060 wont be able to fully utilise its 12GB potential cuz its core is just too slow. Just like in the good ol days when lower end GPU comes with massive more VRAM (2GB) when higher end are typically 512-1GB of faster VRAM but still end up slower than the faster GPU with less VRAM.

This is opposite case for mid-higher tier GPU where the better/faster core can be limited by VRAM size & bandwidth plus when turn on features like DLSS/FSR, RT/PT, RR, stream.

With igpu getting better with each generation, I hardly see the need for low end GPU anymore. The Xe on MTL can even do RT via AI, imagine that.

Wait for PSU makers to update their lineup to ATX3.1 using 12V2x6 + Nvidia GPU using the same updated connector. Supposedly to have solved this issue. Til then just let ur wallet stay frosty.

What are you talking? The US are banning & going to ban any permutations of 4090 that can do AI. You dont care but the US sure does. Chips used in EV cars have nothing to do with this.

Read carefully its not with US Govt approval but they redesigned it so it meets US Govt ban threshold, totally different thing. 4090D supposedly have a 4700TPP which goes under the US 4800TPP limit for AI chip. But as US Sec Com said, she will seek to ban that kind of deception too. So lets see how it will pan out. Just dont put your hopes up that this will return ori4090 stocks back to the market for others inc Msia.
