QUOTE(John Chaser @ Nov 17 2023, 08:54 PM) Lol, nearly spit my drink out. Our ringgit being worst performer in this region is not a myth bro. After my travels, the Euros that I changed early this year is worth more today even after factor in mamak commission. Back to point. I been tracking SSD prices for the same period, and only in Msia it is going up while globally its gone down (but predicted soon to go up again). So yeah...

QUOTE(lolzcalvin @ Nov 25 2023, 04:17 PM) a lot of 4090s were shipped to china before the export ban. thailand also out of stock, korea and japan are limiting sales of 4090 because mainland chinese people are buying them en masse after the export ban to turn a profit Its the scalping market all over again! 4090 gone to China, dealers will scalp on 4080 & 4070Ti. Wait & see

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Nov 27 2023, 09:34 AM) Yar betul, memang tepat.. But, rtx 4090 cost about Rm8k ++ How many units they can smuggle!! As many as China needs and they have a loottt of creative ways to do it https://www.tomshardware.com/news/smugglers...f-live-lobstersQUOTE(craxors @ Nov 27 2023, 10:41 AM) I dont think so but its more likely AI. Effect is similar tho, market artificial shortages cause price scalping. USA residents are better off this time as plenty available FE version sold by NVIDIA.

QUOTE(babykids @ Dec 1 2023, 09:47 PM) Guys any suggestion on 180 degree connector for 4090? Any link? Plan to get one, current cable is bending the glass Since you have the moolahs for a 4090, get the best German engineered money can buy with Derbauer/TG Wireview https://www.thermal-grizzly.com/en/products/601-wireview-enCompared to ur precious GPU, its a pitiful sum to pay https://www.lazada.com.my/products/thermal-....list.2&stock=1And so far his version, amongst others, have not reported catching fire or melted.

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Dec 2 2023, 12:25 PM) Fren... Gpu price won't drop over night Some ppl willing buy 10k like high end rtx 4090 24gb Fren... That was 1 year ago and 3060Ti has been replaced by next generation. No way it should remain same pricing unless trying to cheat customers.

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Dec 3 2023, 06:50 PM) Wait till Rtx 50 series launch then we see some price adjustment If 3000series still on sale by the time 5000series is out, Nvidia is already in big trouble dy. I doubt 2 gen older GPUs will be around by the time Blackwell is launched.

QUOTE(babykids @ Dec 7 2023, 03:43 AM) in the end, use the vertical solution for this big card. Watch out for the GPU fan blades slicing the AIO tubes tho Can you try tuck that behind it? This post has been edited by babylon52281: Dec 8 2023, 09:15 AM

QUOTE(PJng @ Dec 7 2023, 05:10 PM) wondering which partner cause this have been many month no solve, first i think is my GPU problem, but playing game no problem at all Have you tried DDU and roll forward to latest driver? Test with Unigine Valley see if still got issue. Have you tried DDU and roll back to earlier driver? Test with Unigine Valley see if still got issue. Have you tried reflash the firmware? Make sure its the exact one for ur GPU model. Test with Unigine Valley see if still got issue. If yes for all, likely its a hardware problem, if see Northwestrepair vids it could be a VRAM or core problem. This post has been edited by babylon52281: Dec 8 2023, 09:40 AM

QUOTE(LiQuID2 @ Dec 7 2023, 09:53 PM) Is the ram really important? Yes and no. Its a balance. A these days lower end GPU like 3060 wont be able to fully utilise its 12GB potential cuz its core is just too slow. Just like in the good ol days when lower end GPU comes with massive more VRAM (2GB) when higher end are typically 512-1GB of faster VRAM but still end up slower than the faster GPU with less VRAM. This is opposite case for mid-higher tier GPU where the better/faster core can be limited by VRAM size & bandwidth plus when turn on features like DLSS/FSR, RT/PT, RR, stream.

QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Dec 17 2023, 01:01 AM) so there will be no 75W GTX/RTX card without needing PCIE power. With igpu getting better with each generation, I hardly see the need for low end GPU anymore. The Xe on MTL can even do RT via AI, imagine that. Wait for PSU makers to update their lineup to ATX3.1 using 12V2x6 + Nvidia GPU using the same updated connector. Supposedly to have solved this issue. Til then just let ur wallet stay frosty.

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Dec 29 2023, 06:11 AM) [attachmentid=11487849] another udpate, Rtx 4090D No point, it will all go into AI rigs anyways, calling it a gamer card fools no one inc USA “If you redesign a chip around a particular cut line that enables them to do AI, I’m going to control it the very next day,” US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said in a warning to Nvidia Whatever way NVIDIA redesigns 4090 to fit into China will soon get banned again as clearly warned above.

QUOTE(PJng @ Dec 29 2023, 11:20 PM) RTX3050 6GB, maybe first RTX below 1k, how low price will be currently 8GB about 1k, 1.1k https://www.lowyat.net/2023/313588/gigabyte...s-rtx-3050-6gb/A poor card being crippled even further, whats the point of an RTX going below 1k when it cant really do RT with sufficient FPS.

QUOTE(adamtayy @ Dec 31 2023, 06:01 PM) no way man.. The particular gc is just restricted for China market China market is a piece of big cake Don't care they use it for A.I purpose as they are the world's largest consumers of nvidia product line Nvidia chips are used in ev cars, you understand or not?? What are you talking? The US are banning & going to ban any permutations of 4090 that can do AI. You dont care but the US sure does. Chips used in EV cars have nothing to do with this.

QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Jan 1 2024, 10:30 AM) No, what you didn't understand or didn't read from articles is that the 4090D was designed with the US Gov approval. Nvidia is allowed to sell all other cards to China except for the 4090 due to it's capabilities. So now they have a dumb down version which has specs below the restriction to allow Nvidia to sell the card. Nvidia did this with the US gov to comply with the restrictions, not circumvent it. Read carefully its not with US Govt approval but they redesigned it so it meets US Govt ban threshold, totally different thing. 4090D supposedly have a 4700TPP which goes under the US 4800TPP limit for AI chip. But as US Sec Com said, she will seek to ban that kind of deception too. So lets see how it will pan out. Just dont put your hopes up that this will return ori4090 stocks back to the market for others inc Msia. Source https://www.techspot.com/news/101049-us-gov...ina-export.html"The company is also rumored to be readying an RTX 4090 D for the Chinese Market with a lower TPP (Total Processing Performance) to comply with the US limitations. Raimondo isn't happy about Nvidia simply redesigning its chips to circumvent US export rules, threatening that "If you redesign a chip around a particular cut line that enables them to do AI, I'm going to control it the very next day."
