Noted bro, saw in shopee msi ventus 2X cost RM3069 the cheapest 4070 super? Colorful about RM3139 but with diskaun goes to RM3020 or so and gigabyte is also 3.1k++
Asus is 3.4k the version with 2 fans and got more fancier version but I'm not gonna get that. Colorful good brand? Looks like reasonably priced brand
Colorful is best among China brand AIB, tho I never try myself (tempted to) but its reco by sifus here in Rig tered so I guess you can be assured its boleh pakai?
I suggest do wait for triple fan versions to come out, Colorful NB Battleax 3fan series, usually might be RM 200-300 more expensive than dual fans but since your spending 3k on a GPU alone whats another 10% more for better cooling & quieter? But if you do go for 3x fan version remember to use GPU stand/holder/prop support.
Asus most cheapest dual fan 3.4k and it goes to like 4k for strix..Asus card always expensive but it's good reliable all that guess it's worth it. For now I'm kinda like the colorful with 3 fabln as it's cheap
I myself use China brand Manli GPU so I fully with you there, they are real value for money. But China brands oso have tier makes, the more well known ones have sold in EU & USA ie Colorful, Manli, Yestron, Maxsun/Soyo. Then there are the more sus ones ie MLLSE, RISC51, Jieshuo, AFOX, & there are plenty more of these than reputable ones above. Just know which is which when buying.
nope didn't move pc around or take gpu this 3060 ti previously used in old rig, though is PSU issue, but recently bought new rig also faced such issue hence I think should be GPU issue
as other component in my new rig are new except sata hdd
Owh. Hope you can find out whats the problem and share share here. Its weird if GPU just go bad like that and Galax is quite a reputable AIB brand.
and it's not as close to the 4080 as expected and barely ahead of the 4070 Ti.
At 1440p, a mere 4% faster for RT games & 3% faster in raster games compared to the 4070 Ti.
Waiting for 4080 Super, which is expected to be barely faster than the 4080 but at a $200 less price point.
Its not a huge jump from 4070Ti but its not really that bad either when you consider 4070Ti was originally should be 4080 12GB so the 4070TIS is within the performance window what Nvidia wanted the 4080 range should be, so your getting near 4080 class of performance but at 4070TI prices. A heavily OCed Strix would push it even closer to OG 4080 but lets wait for benches later.
Not really, only 5 states with no sales tax. U order from nvidia but ur destination is not those states then u are subjected to taxes. It is same for amazon.
Ohh I see. Plenty of Western tech forumers I see brag about getting stuff at MSRP. Not sure how they go about the taxes...
Then again dollar to dollar, the price difference is easier to afford by them as compared to us

one thing i wanna ask, if game got dlss so better to use it?
If your not facing insufficient FPS performance then no point going for DLSS, it makes images worse than running natively unless your using a lot of eyecandy features ie RT/PT.
Unfortunately MSI Ventus 4070Ti S continue to remain gimped despite the various firmware updates and worse is the GPU bios on initial retail cards still cannot fix the underperforming issue.
For now just stay away from MSI Ventus 3X, possibly Gaming Trio too and buy from other AIB brands. Seems like Asus(GN) & Zotac(TYT below) has no such issues

dlss disable something so game run better at the cost of graphics quality?
Something like that. To know more
https://www.pcmag.com/explainers/what-is-dl...ling-technology https://www.xda-developers.com/dlss/ [DLSS 1/2 (which only uses resolution upscaling) is a performance-boosting setting. For example, if you set your resolution to 1080p and enable DLSS, the GPU isn't rendering the game at 1080p and using the Tensor cores to make that 1080p look like 1440p. Instead, it's rendering the game at 720p (or another similarly low resolution) and using DLSS to increase the resolution to look like 1080p.]
I (actually my bro) have a RTX 3080 which is suffering bad temperature and loud fan
Temp could go to 82c, while hot spot could reaches 100c Fan spinning at 100%
It looks like the thermal paste / thermal pad is drying badly.
Does the brand (gainward) accept repair/warranty if i send back to them? As the card is still under official warranty, probably not going to send to lowyat for repasting the card
4080 Super Review embargos lift today, but here's a peek at the performance
Up to a staggering 2.4% faster than the 4080
But of course, most importantly is the price point of $999.
I think it's possible to see local prices in the RM5200-RM5500 range, considering the 4070 Super & 4070 Ti Super prices here.
Not surprising as there is only an increase of just 5% more Cuda cores so a ballpark of 2-3% more performance uplift should expected. This unlike the other Supers that have a bigger cores gap with OG versions. An OCed 4080 or rather a Strix OC 4080 out of box can meet & beat that stock 4080S easily.
With ori 4080 gone soon, the 4080S will be the only high end card if 4090 remains unavailable or wayyyy too pricey.
