adding on to the legacy CPU questions (4th Gen i7 4790K here ) and rtx 3070/3080, i suppose if you're aiming high refresh rate gaming it would matter, but if you're aiming RTX + 1440p60/4k60 (with DLSS) it wouldn't matter ? since RTX + 4k + DLSS are GPU bound functions ?

I was considering the 3080, but seeing as how much of a bottleneck my i7 4790 non-k model is, I'm not sure if using the rtx 3080 on it would be a good idea 

I'm currently on a 1080p 144hz monitor, but will upgrade to a 1440p 144hz monitor by year end. Good thing most of my use comes in the form of playing esports titles, else I'd be even more confused as to which to upgrade first. 

I've sunk countless hours into Dota and CSGO and more recently Valorant and I'd say the 1080p 144hz Monitor I've had for the past 5 years has more than paid for itself!

Though I'd like to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz display in preperation for Cyberpunk haha.

Are 4k 144Hz monitors readily accessible at a consumer level already? Haven't been keeping up with monitor news as of late unfortunately

turing.. nvidia asia pac step in and control gpu allocation to the country. all brands had to follow. and the Fed MY big time with few giga models and some asus dual models etc..

i want FE card or strix. its da only two i want. dis 3080 so overpowered even throttling da card is fine for me. resellers idealtech u can forget it. their internal customer builds demand so high all aib cannot even fullfill them. wont be suprised idealtech becomes a distro for them self .. question is which brand.. so they will tahpau alot of the first few batch.

hi, I just wanna to tell u your claming about your ryzen BSOD issue may not correct .
actually it should have a chance to drop 1 or 2 or some threads..
for an unstable overclocking system both thread dropping and BSOD r happening, it shall happen with intel as well , if the overclocking if not stable (the 'stable' stable).

I guess we have a similar 'taste' of so-called 'stable' system, and I know what I'm doing.so , no need to blah blah blah...

For your ryzen issue, I guess u may try the CPU LLC tricks to trobleshoot the issue. but I guess your bad experince at ryzen cannot conclude to it is not a stable cpu,
ram and mobo also playing a big part here. I guess NVIDIA cannot agree that as well. 

Highly doubt I'll be getting 8k in the next 10 years. Let alone 4k.

Leaks say that Nvidia will be bringing the full GA104 die as 3070 Ti/Super with 16 GB after AMD strikes. Also, possible is 3080 Ti/Super with more SM enabled but not the full GA102 die as in the 3090 and with 20 GB. For best efficiency, the 3070 Ti/Super looks appealing.
