yeap, what a spoil

and then watching Italy play, we gotta see the players like Insigne, Immobile, Chiesa etc, whose scoring goal for fun with their clubs, turn into
an amateur bunch when wearing the Azzuri shirt...

Yea, I don't remember the international breaks being this often in previous seasons. Speaking of which, I kinda wonder how things will change for the World Cup in Qatar which is happening in winter; that's like a full month off and I'm sure the players will want a break/holiday after that.

By the way, what are your thoughts about this Super League that Agnelli is spearheading? UEFA is like against it while he's going full steam with a few other big clubs.

last i read, this European Super League thingy is the elite clubs attempt to create their own version of "Champions League"

QUOTE
Based on a report by German publication Der Spiegel, documents published obtained by the paper from Football Leaks – a football whistleblowing website – indicated that a new league independent of UEFA would consist of a 16-team competition with a group stage and knockout round to begin in 2021.

The breakaway league would consist of 11 core founding members and five additional guest teams, with the founder clubs immune to relegation and guaranteed spots in the league for 20 years.

The "founders" consist of 11 European clubs from top 4 league across Europe

Spain's Barcelona and Real Madrid; England's Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United; Italy's Juventus and AC Milan; France's Paris Saint-Germain and Germany's Bayern Munich.

In additional to the core founding members, they would be then joined by five more guest clubs on a rotating basis – Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Roma and Marseille.

Wow, I didn't know the details from that German publication.

I'm not quite sure what to think of it actually. I mean, just off the bat, wouldn't it get boring fast with no competition from the mid-range teams? It kinda feels like one of those 'rich get richer' scenarios. Maybe I'm missing the big picture...

international break felt damn too long....

and finally now Juve are back in action

idk why they disallowed the first goal after the mistake by SPAL goalie in the first half...

anyway, resuming to where we left off. 3pts and a clean sheet, and Super Mario + CR7 on the scoresheet again, Serie A capocannoniere, Piatek who? XD

As always...glad for the win, clean sheet and extending the lead. Ronaldo had a slow start but he's found his rhythm for sure. Now on to Valencia!

was relaxed game, but i felt the refree lost it some times and did not book players when necessary.

Piatek who? Serie A tend to take technicals very seriously. Now teams managed to shut him down. We used to have players like Milos Krasic whom had tremendous debut season, but fade afterwards when teams managed to shut him down.

hope that does not happen to CR7

I don't think that's applicable to CR7. Both CR7 and Messi are out of this world. Even with our defense can't stop him from scoring. Now we need to get everyone healthy for a better rotation choices.

I watched abt final 25 min of Milan vs Lazio. How deep had they fallen. And SMS once again proved to me that he's not a big game player, at least not now. They should've sold him last season lol.

a draw is all Juve need to qualify to the next stage, but i dislike that complacency attitude. Juve should do it all and try to get all the 3pts tonight
And hopefully they didn't take Valencia lightly (i'm sure they did against United 2 weeks ago in Turin, and the rest was history)

Probable lineup;

hopefully Max will use the SuperMario-CR7 partnership once again, bcoz both has been on fire these past few matches

Szczesny
Cancelo-Bonny-Chiello-Sandro
Bentancur-Pjanic-Matuidi
Dybala
Ronaldo-Mandzukic

yeap, when it comes to "Stopping" or "analyzing" players, both Ronaldo & Messi are an exception. U probably can stop em, but its gonna be temporary. Class is permanent

Yea Mario and Ronaldo have been on fire so far this season. I really hope that Dybala gels with them soon as well.

Missed the game this morning but saw the highlights, it could've been like 3-0 to Juve, Valencia's defense was good and so was Neto! That save from Szczesny was crazy though, almost point blank - what a reaction save!!

Can't say much about Mandzukic's tap in and assist from Ronaldo. That tap in looked so good, it must've felt good too I bet.

I just looked at our upcoming games and it looks like we're gonna have a tough end to the first half of the season, Fiorentina, Inter, Torino and Roma just before Atalanta and Sampdoria shocking.gif

That link up play before Bentancur's goal was so nice to watch, such fluid football. Fiorentina had their chances, a lot in fact, but we made the most of our own chances and that was enough to make the difference.

perfect team goal. Ronaldo drew the defender away and Bentancur as cool as ice to shot past Viola GK

and to be fair my MotM was Szczesny. I lost count of how many Viola shots on goal but its all neutralize easily by him bcoz of his great positioning.
And i think he's quite underrated bcoz when ppl talking about best goalie in the world, names like Oblak, Neuer, De Gea, Ter Stegen always came first
while Wojciech name came nowhere near em

anyway prior to the match some Viola supporters mocking the tragedy of Heysel & the late Gaetano Scirea, when Juve player showing tributes
and respects to the late Davide Astori

and what better way to reply than giving em 0-3 inside their own stadia (Fioreinta was yet to lose prior to this match). That's the difference of class between Juve & the rest

i think woj's reputation was smeared during his time at Arsenal..... he was quite horrible there playing with horribly setup arsenal teams.. laugh.gif

but to be fair to him, he was young back then

yeap, he's still "immature" back then. Only when he came to Roma he'd shown the "world-class" trait from his performance

honest truth is, we NEVER did. Hence why when rumours regarding Juve trying to re-sign Pogba came back last year/this year, i said "what bullshit is this?"

our MF lineup is good enough with Pjanic, Matuidi, Bentancur, Can, even the inconsistent & injury prone Khedira...adding Pogba to the mix wouldn't
have gave any impact to Juve midfield...and that's not to mention his hefty price tag along with massive wages

reminder, the Derby d'Italia is due to "early" kick-off, 3.30am tonight

quite a "weird" timing considering usually its being played whether on Saturday or Sunday

Another 3 points secured! Mandzukic with a nice header. Looked like we were giving away balls in the first 30 mins or so but we really stepped up in the second half, especially in midfield. Two tough games already in the bag thankfully.
