haha i can understand why you guys would not want a snake like ramos or icardi in the team. chances of icardi coming are very slim too anyway so i guess we can shelve the topic already laugh.gif

bona + 32mil for higuain will be a nightmare laugh.gif

Quite a lot of rumours in the past week!

1. Zidane resigns from Real and Real considering a coach swap type thing with Allegri - but Allegri quickly dismisses this and is committed to Juve.

2. Emre Can - still working on the deal but close. Medical soon I think right?

3. Juve supposedly willing to offer a sum + player for SMS. I can't see anyone from the midfield leaving at this point though.

4. Darmian - done deal? I'm also not sure.

5. Lewandowski!! - Not sure if he's any better than Higuain though

6. Perin - almost there, medical also due soon.

7. Marchisio - received offer from Monaco but personally wants to stay in Turin.

Lichtensteiner - officially at Arsenal. All the best buddy! 7 seasons, 7 in a row. LEGEND.

The way I see it, Juve better snap up the crucial ones before the world cup - I have a feeling their prices might go up afterwards. But also in a way good to see them play in the WC and in case any injuries happen during the tournament.

1. Good move by Zizou. Going out when he's still on top. We all knew some of Madrid history regarding their coaches/players. When they started to underperform their own crowd turned on em
2. It seems like it
3. Hopefully its Sturaro laugh.gif
4. Same. No news this past couple of days
5. Goal per game ratio he's better than Higuain. Comparing Serie A to Bundesliga is like comparing apple to orange, but in UCL, Lewa > Higuain definitely
6. This is great. Just watch Perin in the recent Italy-Netherlands match. He's definitely the true successor to Buffon (for both Juve & Italy)
7. This is also a great news. With some of the 7egends gone (Lich, Gigi) all we got left are Chiello, Barza & Principino.
From a professional standpoint some of em might not be as good as they used to be (Barza aging, Marchisio with constant injury). But having them
on the team kinda like having a couple of leader(s) in the locker-room
8. At his age he still can offer more to Arsenal. Stats by stats he's definitely better than Bellerin

I agree. Buying the player after the international tournament usually a poor move considering their value might skyrocketed

D.Costa a done deal! I'm quite happy they secured him early.

Quite weird that Darmian - which we were linked to for so long, now seems like a dream. We are only offering 12 million Euros + bonuses compared to Man Utd's 20 million Euro asking price.

Looking at the current pace of things, I think we'll only secure the other players we are linked to after the WC. Exceptions being Perin and Can I suppose.

As for the others, still so quiet, and WC is next Thursday...

yeah. happy that costa has been signed outright

i am opposed to having darmain as our right back. Both Di Siglio and Darmain are of similar ability - Squad Player. We are now linked with Valencia's Joao Cancelo for 40mil euros, loan with option to buy. He was a beast on loan with Inter last season. Very good technically (like a winger), quick and can be moulded defensively. He can be the next dani alves if trained properly (look out for him at the WC with Portugal) smile.gif

I'm reading loan with obligation to buy instead.

oh issit? i could be wrong then smile.gif

anyway, he will be a good addition. problem is the team always have issue coming out of high line pressing. we need more players with good technical ability n dribbling to beat the press. example douglas costa. cancelo has very good technical n dribbling skills for a right back. he just needs to training more on his defending

considering United wanted 20M for the underperforming Darmian, i would hope Juve push for Cancelo though. We failed to lend him last season. Hopefully next season
would be different.

it's quite worrying that the whole departments from forwards, midfields to defence need to have reinforments, and the only concrete name is Can and Perin. No words on our loanee reporting yet ...

it's good to know max allegri is staying put though ...

ya. all we have been linked with are players that can maintain our standard but not raise it. we should win serie a again with spinazzola, perin, can, pelligrini but will not even get near the UCL yawn.gif

You are linked with Matthijs de Ligt too, he is able to break the lines with his technical ability and passing. He is said to have visited Juventus' training facilities, will cost a lot though especially for someone his age though immensely talented.

Midfield should be our main priority in the mercato. With Marchisio, Matuidi and Khedira not getting any younger and Bentancur is still quite raw, Sturaro being Sturaro. Now if Can does arrive, we should get another midfielder.

Finally, secured!

Now, as others have rightfully said, we need to secure a solid midfielder, SMS has said he will wait till after the world cup to decide his future.

By the way, you guys not convinced by Pjaca? Rumors are that Juve might offer him to Fiorentia but his agent has rubbished the rumors and said that Pjaca wants to fight for a spot. Poor guy, I think he just needs a chance to prove himself. I always thought he would be a good addition to the squad once fully fit again, reminds me a bit of Douglas Costa with his speed and the cuts he makes in between players.

I think we need another attacker too, but seems like we are already quite heavy up top. Dunno if true but Chelsea have made contact about Higuain.

This is probably the first time in a long time I'm actually following the summer transfer market so closely and concerned about which players they are linked to and finally buy. It's probably because I really want us to win the UCL next season.

Anyone seen the new kit in person by the way? I was at KLCC's Adidas store yesterday evening and took a look at it. Looking at it in person, I think it's actually not so bad and I think the first leaked photo we got of that almost Chiellini look alike modeling the kit was a bad first impression. Firstly, the kit looked a few sizes too big for that guy; I think if they had gone for a better fit, it would look a lot nicer on him and a lot neater. Secondly, I hate to say this, but the Jeep patch doesn't look so bad after all, but I still wonder, if back in the 80s and 90s, they could have the sponsor already printed on the jersey (Ariston, Danone, Sony, D+), why can't they do it now? Why the need for a patch that looks like it was pasted on AFTER THE FACT? I mean, we all know that the patch will be vulnerable to heat and in time might crack. Also, material-wise, it has a bit of a texture to it, not the smooth type Kappa kits I am used to from back in the day. I guess it is growing on me, but I'm not entirely convinced yet haha.

Nah, I still believe Pjaca is good enough to start for us and shine. He has the build of a modern winger. While he has the physique, technique and pace, I think he can be a success on the wings and even a false 9 provided Max is giving him enough chances.

I heard that Real Madrid are offering Lazio 170 million for SMS. I think this is the kind of move that wins them the UCL time after time. The thing is, they have the money to splash while we don't. Come to think of it, to get as far as we have in the UCL on the budget we are on, is quite impressive. Of course heartbreaking when we lose hehehe.

Also, Juve might do a Pjaca/Joao Cancelo swap?
