My concern is also the battery, many says after 5 years need to change battery. Do you have this concern also?
*
that time you want to dispose your car, the battery might be still good.

actually the car take good care on battery, the car will keep the battery charge not too low, not too high, this maintain the battery health.

same like a phone, most of phone battery degrade faster is because of charged to max or battery kosong, i have my iphone xs max since 2019 still have 100% battery health where i maintain my battery between 40% to 80%.

Diff package maybe lol.

Now thinking should go civic or hrv. Price diff 12k around rs vs rs. I see hrv alot accessories macam tak ada.. for 12k extra civic is bigger and better spec’ed.

hr-v looks smaller in real life. Got 1 silver should be V spec unit parking at hotel carpark, so fast the guy get..

Accessories - give it time. FE also no accessories in the beginning. RS vs RS, Civic better Spec’ed, except powered tailgate & Dual Zone Airconditioning.

Key difference:
1. SUV vs Sedan (5 Door vs 4 Door)
2. Taller Space vs Bigger Boot
3. Higher Ground Clearance (easy to enter & exit) vs Lower Ground Clearance
4. Hybrid vs Turbo & Fuel Saving vs Power

I mean accessories as in those included in the price. civic gets auto dimming rear mirror, foot ambient lighting, much much better HU. wireless carplay is something i am using currently on android HU. not sure those add on car kit how good they are, but should be not as seamless lo. for civic wireless carplay, is it everytime u go inside car it will automatic connect and switch to carplay? or need to manually switch over? the auto dimming rear mirror is something cannot addon later, the foot ambient lightiing need add 3.5k lol damn. wrong info, only need add individually rm675 only, still palatable.

need a car that i may need to travel across brunei weekly for 1 hour+ back forth in the weekend. hrv probably gives better ride for sarawak bumpy and lousy road. but lately sit in my fren civic FC, seems ok also driving at lousy road in Kuching. 1 thing 1 can think about for HRV RS is that 1 single tank 1 from malaysia, should be ok to drive 1 week in Brunei. Malaysia cant buy their cheap fuel tho, but their vpower 97 is like rm3 only lol

another thing about civic is, i dont have to wait for more than 6months lol. 2 months can get V or RS spec.

The lower the year the better. If it were me to get a HRV, I would take 5Years if not 3Years with big down payment.

Very much depends on how fluid your cash flow is and how you plan your money.

Two theories
1. Take longest loan possible, because loan interest is very low - cheap.
Can use the money for other investment or business as business loan/personal loan is much higher/expensive
2. Take shortest tenure if you are cash rich and do not want commitment/headache
Some would prefer this route for ease of burden, pay off early then move on to other assets or change car time will have more capital

There is no right or wrong here, all depends on which you prefer.
But if buy H/T, then no need to worry, if buy cold brand, then please don’t drag till 9 years because when maintenance comes, even you want to dispose of the unit, you still need to fork out money to part with it because loan balance is higher than value of the car

Should I install ppf and/or coating for the new hrv? Is the paint thin?

The paint on all new Honda cars are quite thin. Coating doesn’t protect paint like scratches. You can put PPF, but better just save money and just repaint the whole car 5 years down the road…

Rather than spending couple thousands for coating, it is better to repaint the car every 5 years...

Anyone here has tested the Low Speed Follow (LSF) with stop-and-go in Honda Sensing? Is it working efficiently?
