oh. they're sincere. as manufacturer, this is a good attitude tbh

edit: somehow, i still feel skeptical about their space bar and modifier implementations. it's not easy to tame these large keys. only very few manufacturers can do it almost perfectly.

to make you feel better, let's say they should do a better qa/qc at factory next time, to prevent such customer disappointments lol

although the last-mile qc should be done by sellers before sending out goods, but it's a chicken-and-egg scenario, especially when customers wanna have the first-hand unboxing thrills. it's hard to please everyone smile.gif

(for certain items, like pcbs, i usually ask sellers to help test them out first before shipping out to me, e.g. using tweezers + http://www.keyboardtester.com/ i really don't like doa)

If I buy from online seller that located far far away I will ask the seller to test first.. Since I get this from local shop plus ducky is quite a reputable brand, didn't think too much when I bought it...

well never mind. it's better to always do checks when possible. even though ducky is a reputable brand, shits do happen. this applies to all brands of anything that are mass-produced.

imo cm is the better option. in terms of warranty, it offers 2-year one-to-one exchange.

Yes, 2 years 1-to-1 exchange without repair. Just give u another new board.
But, some ppl will tends to abuse. But I don't care, as long as it makes sense. laugh.gif
For keyboard, either is brand abuse the warranty period to make consumer feel cheated, or consumer make brand feel cheated only. rclxm9.gif

Malaysia don't have Brown switch for S and L. Not really about restock or don't restock since it never will have it.
And for the S and L Blue/Red, it's only 10 units during last time CM bring in.

That's why ppl disappoint, then go for red switch.

On side note, MK750 RGB Brown switch has the extra 20 units. I'm wondering if they shift it to MK750.. mega_shok.gif

Sigh... this is kinda sad as i kinda like the feel of brown switch and MK750 the price is way out of my budget. So will probably try out red switch before making my mind. Thanks cry.gif

.. abuse is always a bad thing to both sides. i really hope this doesn't happen often. to me, sellers/distri just need to back their end of the deal, and share with us alternatives when we are not aware of options, if possible.

as for the longer warranty period, it's a good sign to show that a brand is ready to back their products. it doesn't mean that consumers should take advantage of it.

hopefully you will enjoy it. (i thought you're looking for blue) don't worry about after-sale supports, and as one of his customers i think he's doing it right

The reason why warranty period is longer, because brand pressure the manufacturer. Warranty like switches will bear by Cherry etc.
It's true, if your switch so "lan" geng, then you provide better warranty to prove you are right. rclxms.gif
If 1 board warranty because of 1 switch, definitely Cherry pay for the fraction of the board cost.

So, because certain brand that "guarantee" their product is good, we buy it. But, the manufacturer "guarantee" their QC and production is good, then brand use them, and supply chain and so on.

This just extra knowledge how thing works in mkb business and other businesses.

haha yes i think manufacturers should back their products with appropriate warranty offers. like samsung, they're the first one who offered 10-year warranty for one of their performance ssds, then others followed. only a few are actually capable of doing that.

well, as long as they don't cut corners and build things accordingly, things can be very good for everyone in the chain. shits do happen but still if everyone is doing their part, i really think issues can be dealt with fairly effectively.

this is not the same as custom mkbs, where warranty of each part is actually quite limited. (but luckily everything is kind of repairable or replaceable)
