QUOTE(watermineral @ Mar 13 2018, 02:00 PM) This is the keycaps problem.. Well, the left and right of long keys too tight, so, each side will dominance and shift to the side you press it on. If you want solve this, just put a bit of tissue in it. It will balance it out. The new Ducky keycaps is still is the trial and error products, from Hardcap. Hope they can improve it. |

QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Mar 13 2018, 03:07 PM) Yeah.. Even last time certain Filco have that. That's why many ppl come here and look for solutions. I dunno why back then we looking for solution, instead of using our consumer power. This post has been edited by quovadis123: Mar 13 2018, 03:31 PM |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Mar 12 2018, 10:36 AM) Anyone used this before? Any comment? I still have this board. Board is typical Ducky One. Not bad but not amazing either. Some creaks here and there. Spacebar rattles when pressed making it really annoying. Ducky One - PBT Dye-Sub Non Backlit - Black Case Frame - Blue & Grey Keycaps (Red Switch) DKON1508-RUSPHZAB1 ![]() http://www.duckychannel.com.tw/page-en/Duc...ne-non-backlit/ Is there any better deal than RM449? The main issue is the keycap printing especially the light blue ones. The dye sub quality is not good as the ink bleeds. A bit of and eyesore really but I don't really care. Thinkness is good. Quite thick. |

Not to bash it, but I think they release too many models in a year. QC for boards still fine, just the keycaps, many models screwed us up. |

QUOTE(Senpai onegai @ Mar 11 2018, 08:13 PM) it has been done by a guy at mymkb fb page. in short it should be good to go. you should read about his findings also.QUOTE(locksng12 @ Mar 11 2018, 08:20 PM) Good priority factor you have there mate. I'll make sure to keep that in mind. maybe you should check out the similar led profile for pok3r first (maybe there is one) firmware replacement like this one might be possible, but it might not be an easy one. (i'm noob so i guess it's not that easy hehe)Btw, is there anyway to get this RGB software into my Poker? I know it's a longshot question but who knows there might be an electronic wizard out there. I could buy an Anne Pro and swapped the switches and plastic case to an aluminium one but that is a very expensive method just to get that light effect. QUOTE(Xaxas @ Mar 12 2018, 07:09 PM) What was the issue with the Ducky one 2 skyline as I am interested in getting the keyboard. budget is heallthy, so go for Cooler Master, Filco, Vortex, and iKBC. what's your preferred form factor? you might find something that you want at storeuni.comOr is there any other brand that the sifu here can recommend as this is my first time getting a mechanical keyboard with around RM300 - 400 budget. QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Mar 13 2018, 10:10 AM) I spilled water on my Ducky One TKL RGB before. Unplugged it right away and let it dry. Was damn tension. .. if it's plain water, it should be ok after it's dried up. it might take weeks to dry up if you don't disassemble the board.I sold the board anyway. hope it's still working fine somewhere. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Mar 13 2018, 01:06 PM) very nice |

Hard to say, but, new manufacturer always like trial and error.varmilo is at a different level compared to ducky. Now you see ducky mixed with those big god brands for ducky new models. Their models now too fast already, I bet local distri will not last long if continue like that. No new things, just repetitively same stuff with different color. QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Mar 14 2018, 07:00 PM) have anyone tried ergoclears? No i haven’t tried ergoclears yet. It will take some time to make such switches afaik. About spring weights, i have read that the better option should be 65g to counter the ‘sticky’ slider issue perfectly. Also, lubing of switches is a must. I just did a very brief study on ergoclears only, so i might get things mixed up.I wonder which spring should i go for. ppl have been recommending 62g as it's the go-to weight for ergoclears I’m not that into tactile switches yet. So far i’m still playing with my favorite switch type, linear. There are still some that I haven’t tried before. |

Yeah ducky released a lot of stuff recently, many of them are through collabs. I agree that if the trend continues, there is no innovation from them. For colors, it’s not actually an attraction, even if they are key cap sets. (I just realized that hardcap copied many colorways from big brands too; quite lazy lol) edit: sometimes you just don't understand why they do this. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by horns: Mar 15 2018, 04:50 AM |

I wonder what weight does these spring has. As for lubes, do I need to get better lube? I've been using some generic lube (marketed as off taobao. working fine so far but should i invest more? |

QUOTE(zorbyss. @ Mar 15 2018, 01:42 PM) Tried a red board for a few months. Keys are too light for me. Get accidental presses while resting fingers on the keys. black is better for you. (perhaps gateron yellow also) personally, in terms of linear switches, kailh box red/black is the nicest. they're pre-lubed; followed by lubed gateron red/yellow/black (affordable yet offers better smoothness compared to cherry mx switches at stock state); then finally lubed cherry mx red/black (and their silent versions)Plan to try Gateron or Cherry Black switches instead down the road. Some said using springs from Blue/Brown/Red. I wonder what weight does these spring has. As for lubes, do I need to get better lube? I've been using some generic lube (marketed as off taobao. working fine so far but should i invest more? for ergoclear, it's better to try different springs out by yourself. for weights of common cherry mx switches (actuation force), you can just look them up at https://deskthority.net/wiki/Category:Cherry_MX for lubes, imo it depends. if you can get better lubes, seriously by all means get them. i believe there are solid reasons why sifus recommend them. to me, it depends on builds. if you wanna do a permanent build with soldered switches, you should get better industrial-grade lubes because they should last longer, and re-applications might be troublesome and time-consuming. i just settle with cheap lubes like Super Lube (note that they are industrial grade also), because i can get it locally, and secondly, i use CIY boards, so re-application is very much quicker. |
