*
They do ship to MY. I had already bought a few items from them. No issues what so ever. Another place is kprepublic.

ho ho ho nice man! so this is how a sa profile looks on a gk64. is this profile good for typing? it's the tallest profile that i know of
*
Needed some adjustments to the different profile. I still think Cherry profile is the best for typing experience but maybe it's just me. This is definitely for the looks and sound. hehehe... #shallow tongue.gif

Bro, this dupont oil, is it the aerosol spray can or the blue bottle with red cap? I had been looking for the Super Lube 51004(oil) in a few Ace Hardware stores and apparently they don't carry them anymore. Trying to look for alternatives but not sure which one to get. Krytox is kinda too pricy and hassle since have to get oversea.

it's the one with blue bottle with red cap, http://www.performancelubricantsusa.com/pr...e-lubricant.php note that this blue-bottle oil is not really plastic-safe; i use it for other purposes. i just tested it with one switch only, just for fun.

the plastic-safe one comes with silicon, but i haven't found it in oil form yet, http://www.performancelubricantsusa.com/pr...e-lubricant.php

i couldn't find Super Lube 51004 oil also. (what a turn-off :/) however i think there should be other affordable alternatives that we can use. (i usually refer to product sheets for clues)

Thanks for the update!

You are missing some stabilizers.

hi im trying to decide a new keyboard.. i'm having a hard time deciding between vortex pok3r, anne pro, ducky one tkl or filco majestouch 2 tkl.. which one would be better suited for both gaming and lots of typing for a novel.. noob here
*
I believe from a usability stand point, both of those TKL boards will be a better choice. You should give them a try first as Horns mentioned. Anyway, my first board was a brown switch if I'm not mistaken. I thought it's like a middle ground between the reds and blues. hehehe... tongue.gif

New caps just came in. First time trying DSA profile. It's easier than SA profile, at least for me.
Caps is obviously not perfect (from a price point perspective, I guess it's okay?). Some obvious misaligned keys is killing me. My OCD is off the chart whenever I look at it. hahaha...
If you are interested: DSA Laser Etched

*yes, it's laser etched legends on PBT. Not the thickest PBT as well.

dsa profile, like sa profile, is nice looking. wait what do you mean by 'easier'?
*
Easier to type on compared to SA. Perhaps I'm used to lower profile compared to high profile.

got it. that's what i suspected for a long time.

unfortunately i have bought a set with sa profile and it's on its way. well, i will just keep it as reference if it's not working out for me lol
*
Maybe if you use it along with a wrist rest then it's not as much of an issue. I tried with wrist rest but I don't like to rest my wrist on something. So, I really think it's just personal preference. rclxub.gif

finally tested sa profile caps. now i understand why keyboard tests with sa profile caps sounded so nice.

however, for me, sa profile is so tall it's seriously tiring to type on, even with a wrist rest.
*
nice nice... the thick high profile SA caps gives out a nice solid *tock* especially if you are using linear switches and have a solid case. As you also noticed now, it's really not the best in terms of typing experience. I also can't get used to the high profile. Anyway, it's really just getting use to them or not only. Maybe the non-sculpted (R3 only) SA profile might be easier to adjust to. Just like the Vortex Vibe Massdrop is currently running: Vortex Vibe

I kinda like the minimalist approach of the Vibe. Very clean and simple design. How I wish it's with Kailh removable sockets built in. hahah... smile.gif

yeah i like the key sound a lot. i think you're right about adaptation. let's see i can adapt after a while.

vortex vibe is not my cup of tea. the better form factor for me is 75%, yes, must come with kailh switch sockets lol

edit:

notes - tested krytox gpl 105 for switches (gateron normal red). the application is easier (oil, much easier to spread). it's good for the convenience of lubing switches.

however, essentially, compared to super lube grease, they're the same to me. it's just that for thick lubes you need to control the amount when applied (just very thin layers; always, less is more for switches)
nice nice! Got any krytox gpl 105 leftovers willing to let go? I also wanna try try... Got a bunch of Gaterons silent blacks on the way from KBDfans. Will definitely replace the silent reds with them. Right now, only the modifiers are on silent blacks. The reds seems to be a little too light for my typing. Used to be okay but now backside itchy, wanna give the blacks another try. hehehe...

Also bought a wooden GH60 case, DZ60 s.steel plate and some screwed in stabs from KBDfans and YMDK. Spending too much money on this hobby... hahaha... bye.gif

that's one of the board profiles that i wanna build later. still haven't had the time to source for compatible cases that i want.

well yeah it's a hobby so it's worth spending on hehe (especially when there are still so many unknowns in my mind)
I don't even know if the GH60 wooden case will fit the DZ60 plate or not. Hopefully everything will workout fine. Else, further wait and parts sourcing again... sigh...

Alrighty then. Now is the waiting game. In the mean time, I'll keep myself busy with more lubing work. hehe... smile.gif

Without looking further and judging based on the key legends alone, Fuhlen is a BIG NO! haha...

Was doing my Gateron silent blacks lubing chores last night and then got itchy and tried lubing the Kailh box switches. Really no idea where to lube them. They are really smooth out of the box if compared to Cherry MX or even Gaterons silents (then again, Gateron silents are famous for being scratchy). I tried lubing the side but there's really not much difference before and after. Not quite sure how to get this effect: Kailh box red lubed vs no lubed

Using F108 at home. The keycaps are good thick PBT. However, it's somehow not as nice or solid as some other PBTs that I have. Perhaps it's the OEM profile compared to my others Cherry profile PBTs. The programming is not the easiest to use but it gets the job done. I always keep a copy of the manual in my Google Keep so I can access it anytime anywhere. haha... Built quality is very good. It's plastic but a sturdy and heavy thick plastic. The RGB blingness is on-point. So, no complain there as well. The only part I can complain on is the rattly stabilizers. No matter how much lube I place in there, it's no use. Unless you wanna go the distance and de-solder the board and fix that, else just have to accept it. smile.gif
