even link credit card need to pay RM2?
*
You guys didn't properly, here's what it showed on the page...

QUOTE
A one time charge and refund of RM2 is needed to verify your card. International cards are not accepted.

Doesn't that mean they will charge and then refund back to you for card verification? Isn't that normal for linking card to app nowadays?

Boost is no 1 right now for sire but grabpay coming up very aggresively. I do enjoy their cheap tealive & insidescoop RM3 promo. Also the recent RM15 for durian at ss2.
*
No matter how aggressive Grabpay is, it won't be the mainstream one IMO, main reason being not everyone uses Grab.

Boost is a proper e wallet app, so it's easier for them to convince people to join, whereas Grab is an e hailing app, Grabpay as their e wallet is just serving as an alternate feature to Grab users.

I doubt anyone who doesn't use Grab will be that free to install Grab just to use Grabpay.

i shudnt say that it's inaccurate, more like incomplete
and no, they dont have the 50% off sign either

maybe TS can create a list of 50% cashback merchant based on our feedback here
*

QUOTE(ziniowong @ Aug 8 2018, 10:20 AM)
which is why i suggested that we compile our own list based on forumers feedback...
but previously somebody said just check the website, now u turn pulak?
*
It's entirely up to TS to decide whether your suggestion is necessary to be done or not, TS already mentioned earlier that he's not a frequent Boost user and he won't be that active in maintaining this thread.

It's also up to the demand, some people like me don't mind about the 50% cashback, we use it just for the sake of convenience and using e wallet, while some are using it mainly for the cashback. So, it's up to TS on this.

I help you tag him and quoted your suggestion on top for his reference. GTA5

Not sure if NSK sells cigarettes though.

Now Grab in the list of 50% CB? Anybody try?
*
Just checked their website, I noticed few more new merchants added including Grab, but I just checked my Grab app and I didn't see Boost as payment method.

But damn, Boost is aggressive af recently

Btw, you can pay using Boost with MyCar now, saw it on their billboard.

for McD I don't think so because they encourage using visa paywave I think ?
*
Yes, but it depends on how Boost is gonna convince McD to join the e wallet bandwagon, e wallet will be the next big thing here in the future that's for sure.

But there's something that needs to be sorted out, like how are they gonna implement Boost on their self service kiosk.

Just noticed that they partnered with Quick Cut as well, but I don't really dare to get my haircut there anymore, the barber screwed up my hair once.

Yep, there's a separate Boost Business app. Red-on-white Boost logo instead of our white-on-red. Just get them to sign-up there and enter your referral code.
*
QUOTE(#Victor @ Aug 8 2018, 05:12 PM)
I believe they will verify the legitimate of the register merchant
*
That's kinda difficult tbh, wouldn't it be weird when for example I go to a kedai runcit to buy stuff, and then suddenly I ask the mak cik to join Boost?

I can already imagine the awkward look at that moment.

I mean, the whole idea of it is just weird although beneficial, unless I'm close with the merchant, otherwise me as a customer convincing a merchant to join Boost is just... sweat.gif

Just saw the 50% CB banner@NuSentral outlet. Nando's & Dubuyo too have 50%.
*
Nando's and Dubuyo been having 50% cashback for a while now, and got my cashback from Dubuyo yesterday.

Btw, is it just me or Dubuyo lacks a lot of choices compared to others?

Even the BBQ Gangnam Korea in Lowyat Plaza has more choices, but too bad they don't even accept card payment (let's not talk about e wallets), which is weird.

The location feature in the app is to help u find the nearest merchant that accepts Boost, made for those who wanna use Boost.

For 50% cashback list, check on their website instead.

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Aug 8 2018, 11:13 PM)
knowing how malaysian think, will boost survive after they stop giving out free money? i wonder.
*
I believe Boost will survive if they can gear up their expansion to more mainstream merchants, they gotta prove that the concept of paying using phone is really convenient.

Also, there could be a reason why they decided to continue the 50% cashback promotion until the end of this month. The hype will definitely be reduced if there's nothing much to offer from their side, so hope that their decision was to give themselves more time to come up with something more attractive to the users.

But for sure, the smaller and passive competitors (you know which ones I'm talking about) won't survive in the long run, and like someone here said before, the one with the deepest pocket will survive.

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Aug 8 2018, 11:54 PM)
Kk mart can use boost right? So can reload touch and go using boost?
*
Can, but not for TnG, as it uses a different system.

same, yesterday i went kkmart nearby, mentioned pay by boost

his face like not happy, after payment, talk fiercely ask me want receipt or not

dunno what's wrong on those cashier, sigh
*
Isn't that a common attitude from KK cashiers? Well I'm not generalizing, I've seen some good ones, but some are just plain rude and cocky.

From my experience with using Boost in few KK outlets, most were fine with it, some even smiled when I told them I wanna pay with Boost. But there was once that I had a terrible experience in the Amoda (entrance) outlet, paid using Boost, amount got deducted, but the POS system didn't respond, the idiot beside the cashier said "line problem" in a rude tone, and then wanted to blame me for that, I argued with him until he gave up and let me go with my stuff.

I see, their food not bad really.

But the problem is that there's no alternate payment other than cash, which is weird for a korean restaurant.

Also, I dont like it when they kept playing old Psy MV and Music Bank, things need to be updated there lol.

HAHAHAHA bro you got alot of comments. But i just wanted to have my me-time over there, having hot soup during a rainy day and some youtube videos.
*
Maybe I'm just nitpicking, but the one I think they should sort out is the payment part, at least let the customers to pay by card as an alternate payment method.

But gotta say that the environment is good, especially in the kind of scenario that you mentioned.
