I can't really brain how these different brands of eWallet can come to an agreement to work together. rclxub.gif

Soon we're gonna see Fave allows payment via Boost which will charge into GrabPay & so on & so forth. biggrin.gif
*
Because Fave and Boost already collaborated for quite some time now, they first collaborated so Fave can sell their vouchers on Boost.

I see nothing wrong with them taking the collab further, they're currently the best e wallets in our market.

But I'm still wondering if I should use Boost as payment method on the next time I use Favepay, isn't it easier if we just go for the original way which is straight deducting the amount from our card?

What makes Favepay better is that the amount can just be straight deducted from our card instead of reloading it.

To be frank, i will not store my CC info in Fave anymore. Some fraudulent transaction happened on my Fave Account recently and the Customer Care blamed me I might purchased these deal by incidents.. but in fact it is done via system end... ..(long story with their Customer Service Team and still not resolved... ) thus I removed my CC info from Fave already.. Good to see they partnered with Boost and at least Boost provided PIN Authentication for each transaction.

On top of any partner cashback on Fave, you’ll also earn Boost cashback through Boost Shake Rewards and no risk of saving Credit Card on Fave since Fave did not have any pin authentication in their Android app.

QUOTE(adamw @ Jul 28 2018, 09:34 PM)
Even without fraudulent case I don't like FAVE, many times I have mistakenly make purchases because there is no verification for our purchases. Now I make sure after I use, I change to a non existent online bank.
*
Basically their biggest problem here is the lack of security authentication for transactions, which is the most basic thing for e wallet and mobile payments.

Also, another thing I don't like about Favepay is I need to hand my phone over to the cashier for them to copy down some sort of transaction code, it's supposed to be me showing my phone to them of the screen showing the transaction is successfully made instead.

Bolded part: Hmm... that's not what most merchant did for my case? I just need to show them my screen & they'll refer to their phone for confirmation. Maybe your merchants just wanted to play it safe?
*
Or maybe they didn't have a dedicated phone for e wallet purposes?

The only merchant that did the right way (which is having me showing my screen and they refer to their phone for confirmation) was Paparich. Other than that, literally every merchants needed to take my phone and key in the code to their cash register system.

If they wanted to be safe, I do understand, but it means the process took a bit longer than just paying with cash and it felt a bit uncomfortable by handing over my phone to cashiers every time. I'm not sure if it's Fave's fault or the merchant's fault, but they should really sort this out.

Done about 5-7 transactions so far since may when i first started using Boost until now. Every transaction also give me RM1 shake reward only lol. Each transaction is about RM15-25. But then every transaction has the 50% cashback la haha.

So far so good la, but honestly after this 50% cashback promotion i can hardly see myself using it again.. Hopefully they do like 30-50% cashback for longer period.

Currently really not many merchant accept Boost also.

Boost also dont really have that many vouchers to use.
*
If you prefer cashback, then it's gonna be Favepay.

I'll still continue using Boost even if the 50% cashback ends, just for the sake of going cashless, but the cashback is definitely a good extra to have.

Tbh, Malaysia is still very backwards when it comes to cashless solution, before we even talk about e wallets, the acceptance and convenience of CC/DC usage is still not up to an acceptable stage yet, we still get merchants who impose a minimum amount for card usage, BNM seriously needs to sort this out so citizens can start to accept the cashless solution.

Before e wallets can even take off, the issue of CC/DC usage should be sorted out first.

Are you using card or online banking?

If you're using card, do try online banking cuz it works for me every time.

First things first, are you a new user?

If you are, then getting the 'cashback bonus' is normal for new users, I got it as well when I just started using Boost.

Why I don't get this when I registered and started using it last week despite I top up more than RM10.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 31 2018, 12:03 PM)
It should be in your Boost Mail, everyone should have it, I think. If you didn't get the RM3 cashback, contact Boost and they'll sort you out.

My daughter received what I posted above via email on Jul 27 and she's not a new user. She also has that similar worded promo in Boost Mail. A bit confusing.

Weirdly it shows "selected users only", they trying to be like Maxis eh? Damn you Axiata!

Saw it in Boost Mail dy. T&C here mention for selected users only... hmm.gif
Yes, spent immediately using Scan & Pay right after registered. Btw, I use CC to deposit Boost wallet, is this the factor that cause missing 30% cashback?
*
The T&C didn't mention specifically which deposit method are eligible for that cashnack, so doubt it's the problem with CC.

Basically means you're not selected or probably it's their system acting up, I'm also wondering which users are eligible to be "selected" to get the cashback. But according to the picture, it showed "30% Cashback on your first deposit", which pretty much proves that it's targeted to only new users. Those who aren't new but received the cashback were probably in luck due to Boost's imperfect system.

afaik the 50% cashback is regardless what amount u spend...cashback max at rm10.....which will end today anyway

the only cashback with min required spending of rm20 is KK which is still ongoing up until 25th aug (cashback is rm10 regardless how much you spend)

I just checked back my transaction history from few months back, found out that I paid RM 14.70 in The Chicken Rice Shop and then got the 50% cashback. Now I'm also confused seriously, azam_halim could be right.

Since you received it, you're selected then.

If everyone receives it, then they gotta remove that "selected users" thing on their T&C.

If it's quick, it will take 1 working day, otherwise it can take up to like few days. But I would contact them if I still haven't receive my cashback after 2 days.

Is there still any Popeyes outlet in Malaysia ? I found 1 at KLIA on Google search.

Wanna know this as well, but I heard that Popeyes closed down all of it's outlet here nationwide.

KLIA one might be their attempt of revival, I guess? But wonder why they didn't choose KLIA2 instead, it's more lively there tbh.

They did the right thing, hope they can come up with something more attractive to help Boost gain more awareness in the long run soon.

They have one month time to come up with new ideas lol.

Boost can become the no.1 mobile payment app if they can find more merchants.. so far i dont see any other app that is as secure and easy to use as Boost.

Another issue they need to kinda "fix" is that maybe fix the time of cashback, example if you do transaction anytime today 0000hour to 2359 hour, cashback is fixed to come into your balance by tomorrow 1200hour..

Boost CS staff, I know you're reading this. Relay this to your higher management.

Oh yeah, the UI can be a bit more user friendly.... Of course this is the last thing that needs "fixing"...
*
I'm suspecting the one with the username "Boost App" that appeared in this thread and kept telling people to contact their CS from few days back is a legit Boost staff.

If they're really monitoring this thread, then lemme take this opportunity to remind them again as a loyal user

PLEASE EXPAND TO MORE MAINSTREAM MERCHANTS ASAP, CONVENIENCE STORES (7ELEVEN, 99SPEEDMART ETC.), SUPERMARKETS (AEON BIG, TESCO ETC.), F&B CHAINS (CHATTIME, GONG CHA, COOLBLOG, MCD, KFC, BK ETC.)

There are a lot more need to be 'fixed'. Was at a Nando's outlet where the mobile data quota inside MP@y terminal already over usage, cashier tried using the outlet WiFi but not working and even used her own hotspot but poor network signal at the outlet, end up share own hotspot for the terminal, entire process took 15 minutes for a simple payment doh.gif  doh.gif
*
I'm quite fascinated that you insisted on paying with Boost until you shared your hotspot lol, I would've probably paid by debit card to save the hassle.

But I believe you insisted it just because of the cashback right? biggrin.gif

Look at the rating on Play Store, I will never ever give them a single chance. First reason being it's crap, second being Boost and Favepay are already enough for me to go cashless, others...no thanks.

I bet that only a small amount of ppl are using that crap.
