Boost just partnered with Pezzo, but hard to find Pezzo around Klang Valley, the only one I found was in Tesco Taman Midah.

If they partner with Pizza Hut or Domino's, huhuhuhu best giler.

Pezzo setia alam. I go and ask can use BOOST to pay? The cashier ask me back : "What is BOOST?"
hahahahahaha  thumbup.gif

Then she told me : CASH ONLY.

I hate that kind of situation, but it's normal when the merchant company just partnered with Boost, it takes time if they're slow in informing the outlets and providing the POS system or the QR code sign.

KK mart was quite quick when Boost just made the announcement of the partnership.

Paparich also same. "is boost a credit card ??" then asked me to pay cash
*
Did they have any signs or stickers showing that they accept Boost at the counter?

Tips for using Boost for the 50% cash back
1. Before you even sit down, ask the waiter if Boost is accepted. Sometimes even though there's a sticker at the door that says "Boost accepted", they may still not accept it for a multitude of reasons , like "system down/offline"
2. Know what you're ordering, and ask to pay as soon as you have ordered. That way if something goes wrong (for example connection issues with the machine) then you can still cancel the order. The machine requires internet connection to function.

It's that simple.
*
Tip for using Boost for the sake of convenience and also going cashless...

1. Always report to Boost if you face the issue when the merchant doesn't accept your payment via Boost even though the outlet that you visit shows that they accept Boost (Boost sticker outside the door / or Boost sign at the counter)

2. If you don't report, doesn't mean others will.

It's that simple to support the cashless movement, even if you're using it just because of the cashback, please show some support in helping Malaysia take steps further into becoming a cashless society. Many thanks and much appreciated!

my experience with acceptance for boost so far...go for those merchants showing Boost sign/sticker at the counter. those not showing Boost sign are unlikely to be aware of Boost (although Boost has listed them as partners ).

KK mart, nando's, tealive and borders display Boost sign at their counter. Paparich doesnt, that's why the cashier is unaware of boost
*
Paparich does actually, but depends on the outlet. I've seen one in Pavilion that has the Boost QR code sign at the counter, but I chose to pay using Favepay instead for the cashback. But since that now you can link Boost with Favepay, I'm gonna do just that next time to get double the reward (Favepay cashback + Boost shake reward) lol.

Can the cashback stack tho?
*
Not sure, as I've yet to try it yet. But I don't think you can, because you're gonna be using Favepay as the platform and Boost as the payment method, so cashback will only be given on Favepay's side. Also, according to the instructions from both sides...you will be entering the amount of payment first, and then select Boost as the payment method, after that it will bring you to Boost to enter your pin and finally make the payment. So I don't think it's possible to trigger the cashback entity on Boost's side. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

What I meant by doubling the reward was the cashback from Favepay and the shake reward from Boost.

con9lan7firm is not system down.

most likely is the staff doesnt know how to use the boost system for you to make payment.

my case i went there 3 times now, 3 times diff staff all also dont know how to let customer pay through boost, need wait manager come out only can set up the payment thing.

and they usually turn the boost payment machine (the thing like paywave machine one) off. only when the customer request to pay in boost they only go drawer take out, set up the machine, then only let you pay.
*
The "Boost payment machine" is actually a smart modern terminal running on Android, provided by MP@y, at least from what I noticed.

Boost is baked into the MP@y software, and every merchants (who have the terminal) have their own MP@y account that can be logged in and logged out, that was exactly what I saw previously from buying stuffs at one of the outlets of Healthlane Pharmacy... during the checkout I told the cashier I wanted to pay with Boost, she said yes, and then she logged in to the account and selected Boost and finally scanned my code using the little camera behind the terminal.

I think some of the merchants who logged out and will only login when the customer wanna pay with Boost is probably because to avoid over usage of data, which was faced by one of the user here in Nando's.

And since MP@y provides services like these, I think it will be easier for Boost to partner with KFC, since KFC's card terminal is also provided by MP@y, and it comes with a scanner beside the terminal (for the use of MP@y's prepaid card and app), the implementation of Boost might be easy, I guess.

Guys, I wanna start using Payment for Parking in Boost App but unsure whether it really works.

How does the police knows that you have paid for your parking since there is no ticket and whatnot.

Do police check from their system before they issue you a saman?

I would assume that paying through Boost means their system will capture that you have paid your parking but I scare the police will saman anyway just in case.

This is also new to those police I think, so I would assume that police have no idea that such payment platform exist.
*
Boost might be new at this, but JomParking has been operating around KL for quite a while now, pretty sure most of the police are aware of it and so far haven't heard of anyone complaining about such issue.

You can always report it to the police if you got the saman though, since you're not at wrong at all.

boost can use at jaya grover / village grocer?
*
Nope, so far no supermarkets accept it yet.

It's better for them to focus on the mainstream ones first like Aeon Big, Tesco, Aeon, Giant etc. before they think about the Grocers.

the same thing happens to me at kk wangsa maju just now...paid, amount in wallet deducted, got shake reward...but the cashier say transaction didnt go through..he even show me their own summary and my payment is not in there, which is understandable since the cash register didnt open and receipt didnt come out.

but since it is deducted from my wallet, i keep on insisting it has been deducted.
*
Have you reported the issue to Boost?

I immediately reported to Boost after that, but not sure if my message was misunderstood by the cs staff, they actually compensated the amount to me, I'm confused lol.

Actually, while waiting the cashier contact his supervisor, i contacted boost...the last message from boost is they will refund me by end of today, which is unnecessary since i already get my stuff from kk... As of now, no refund receive yet... Just hoping that i get my rm10 rebate tomorrow
*
Yeah, the refund was pretty unnecessary, basically I got my stuff for free. But I guess I didn't have to ask much about it since it was Boost's decision to refund back the amount to me.

I didn't expect it really, just wanted to let them know about the issue and also the bad service from KK in that outlet when using Boost, and also hope that Boost will also mention about the bad service part to the supervisor/manager who's responsible of that outlet when they contact that outlet, which I think they did. I hope that idiot cashier got what he deserved for that bad attitude.

Doubt he will, cuz he doesn't use Boost that much often. Besides, you can always check via their website for that.

No RM2 charge is using online banking for eg Maybank2u.
Anyway, boost probably the most aggresive one vs the rest except grabpay on 2nd place now.

Merchants list getting more and more and surprisingly more 50% cashback promo now. Honestly for me, I enjoy getting the cashback haha. Pretty safe to me vs bringing cards
*
Grab is getting worse and worse thanks to their monopoly, so won't even bother trying their Grabpay.

QUOTE(ziniowong @ Aug 7 2018, 11:39 AM)
the website is not accurate....i got cashback from merchants not listed on their page
*
But did the merchant that you visit have the sign showing cashback?

Not that they're not accurate, they have yet to add it into the list.
