Currently on Maxis standard postpaid plan, wish but unable to switch to Hotlink Flex. Is it the only way is port out then port in again in order to keep my number and migrate successfully to Hotlink Flex or must terminate my maxis postpaid and register new line?

Try port out first, if Maxis call to retain you, ask them if they can offer you a plan similar to hotlink flex.

another plan to rip off users.

unlimited calls only worth RM15. Price difference from hotlink red RM60-RM45.

additional 1gb from hotlink red RM35/6gb=RM5.83

total basic plan should be RM20.83. now their ARPU increase further.

It is kinda good plan for people who do a lot of calls, right? For RM30, you get unlimited voice calls and SMS.

That’s pretty silly. What’s stopping you to change from postpaid to prepaid..(I know this can be done, since I did it, last year my friend did it after I recommended Hotlink plan). Then prepaid Hotlink to this flex?

Assuming Hotlink can switch to flex?

Really? Do u mind telling which service center u went that performed ur request without MNP?
Btw, if a Hotlink number is terminated after expiry, how to get back the number since it still not being recycle / used. Went to Gardens CS, was told need to subscribe MOP plan at least 6 months in order to retrieve back the number. I know this is BS but what to do yawn.gif

You were told you can’t change from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Flex. They didn’t say you can’t change to any prepaid products under Hotlink. You wanted to change to Hotlink Flex directly. That’s why it’s a no-go as it’s been stated in their T&C that you can’t change from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Flex. But you can change from Maxis Postpaid to any Hotlink Prepaid Plan such as Hotlink Red.

I did not say I want to change from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Flex directly. I said from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink, any Hotlink product that is available as of now which is Hotlink RED. I know it is possible as reported earlier by many but Maxis center staff are too ignorant and keep repeating no for this request.

May I know which Maxis Centre did you go ? The franchise one or directly operated by Maxis ? If you are still facing issue, I suggest you to go to either Maxis Centre at The Gardens, Plaza Lowyat, Pavillion, KLCC if you’re in KL area. Maxis Centre Sumway Pyramid is ok too.

No, switching from Postpaid to Prepaid and terminated number are 2 different cases, just ask as when posting in similar topic.
Called Maxis Hotline and they said changing from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink can be done provided is it primary line and without contract. Told them the case where staff in Maxis center said cannot and they said if they repeat same thing again, immediately call Maxis Hotline.

Show the FAQ in Hotlink Postpaid Flex page. It stated that any plan can switch to Hotlink Flex except Maxis Postpaid plan.
CODE
Who can sign-up for these plans?
These plans are open to all consumers, including port-ins, pre-to-post migration, and new registrations.

Why RM55/month? There is no T&C mention that compulsory to subscribe the add-on mega_shok.gif

Guys

If porting from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Red is allowed, how about porting out from Hotlink Flex to Hotlink Red, is this allowed too?

hotlink I am keen on this Hotlink plan but have some questions

1) is there any GST imposed on the monthly commitment of RM30 or the data charge of rm25

2) can the monthly commitment of rm30 and the data charge of rm25 be charged automatically to the credit card

Reason for this is cos I want to give my elderly relative this facility but don't want the hassle of reloading every month.

Appreciate your kind feedback

Yesterday I’m at Sunway Pyramid Maxis Centre wanted to change my Hotlink Fast to Hotlink Flex. First they ask me whether I’m on 012 or 017 and when I said it’s 012, they said cannot because Hotlink Flex is for new registration only. Pissed, I called their supervisor/manager showed the website T&C and finally they allowed me to change then they said this package we’re targeting for new customers but if existing customers wanted to change can it’s just they have extra “procedure” to do in order for me to change. (I don’t know what that means). Quite hassle but I get what I want.

Yes. RM30 + 6% GST. The data add-on is also liable for GST.

Despite the confusing name/branding, this Hotlink Flex is actually a Postpaid plan. So yes. You can sign-up for auto-debit and they will bill the monthly fee to your credit card every month.

Tqvm for your kind reply. So that means I don't have to worry about credit. Say I call IDD the charges will be reflected in the next month bill

Today my line was activated for Hotlink Flex Postpaid.

However when I tried to login to Maxis Online account through computer and also through mobile using Hotlink Flex App, I was unable to login and in the end my login id was blocked. How can I enable back my login id?

How does the data work for the hotlink flex? Standard already given free 1gb. But if subscribe to additional monthly 5gb will it use up the 1gb first then only start using the 5gb?

Noticed I’ve still 600mb left on the free 1gb but already start eating into my 5gb data.

Nas, you noticed the data left from the hotlink app ?

Now Postpaid Flex has option to add 3GB for only RM10/mth auto-renewal, so 1gb + 3gb = 4gb monthly for total RM40/mth

It will consume your data purchase first, once finish will eat your 1gb.
Maybe you did use some before you purchase the data.

" I have already depleted the 3GB quota from this pass. Can I buy another RM10 3GB pass?
Nope. Subscribers may only buy 1 of each auto-renew pass at a time. Your quota will be refreshed at the end of your bill cycle.
However, you can buy and stack as many one-time internet passes as you like."

Above excerpt from official Q&A. I don't really get it. Does it mean once I have depleted my quota I cant top up new quota but wait till next cycle? Can someone please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

Means the RM10 = 4GB now (newly upgraded apparently) can only buy once per month. If depleted, u can buy additional data at RM10 = 1GB if not mistaken. Means cannot stack RM20 = 8GB per month.

Edit: sorry apparently its RM10 = 2GB for additional data, below excerpt from their FAQ:

Just noticed that Hotlink renewed my subscription for this month on Postpaid Flex RM30 (1GB) + RM10 (From 3GB to 4GB?)

One time topup of RM10 now gets more data too. (From 1GB to 2GB)

Hotlink trying to stay competitive now? Not that im complaining... thumbup.gif

I manage to downgrade from MOP98 to Hotlink Flex

Process is

Downgrade from MOP98 to Hotlink Red for min 1 month (6 month if your MOP98 is less than 1-2 years I think)

In order to maintain unlimited call (but no unlimited sms) and 8GB data (compared to 15+15GB data), top up RM60, buy the hotlink red pass. This is the closest u can get similar to MOP98 plan.

Then, exactly 1 month change to Hotlink Red to Hotlink Flex

All done by an agent here in LYN, no need walk in to Service Center wait, no need to wait for their call.

I have encountered those 03-xxx number with bank is not considered free:

user posted image

They defined it as a "call centre number". My perspective of view: there are many hidden definitions with this plan to whether grant user an unlimited call or otherwise.

Depends on individual usage.

I'm more on calls, so hotlink flex is better.

But if you need data, then yes hotlink fast is better.

Everyone have different pattern of usage, that's why there is different kind of plan. Depends on your own preference. thumbup.gif

Hotlink fast is a legacy plan, no longer available for new subscription.

Hotlink flex got no contract unless you wanna buy phone with it.

Contract for vivo phone is 2 years.

As for speed, it's quite ok la, but i think someone did comparison test before, it's capped/slower than maxis one plan.

Hi Hotlink,

I am going to MNP to Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus. May I know how long does the MNP process take? or is it activated on the spot with simcard?

After Maxis submit MNP for you, you will be reeving SMS to reply YES or Y, after that depends on your current telco how fast they willing to let you off, normally take 24 hours if nothing goes wrong.

Basically you need to followup with your current telco.

Hi,

You may walk in to our Maxis Centre after 30 days from your registration date and request for the change of plan to be done.
There is a cooling period of 30 days to change to Hotlink Flex Plan.

TQ
AJ

Dealing with service provider can sometimes be tricky. We (me and my wife) wanted to change plans from Maxis postpaid ($128+$48+$48) to Hotlink Postpaid ($30, $40+$40).

I have read the Term and Conditions and went to Maxis Centre to change our plans. But alas, we were given excuses i.e. we need to change to Hotlink Prepaid first before change to Hotlink Postpaid for at least 1 month (or 6 month when I spoke to their customer service hotline 123). We were also told that Hotlink Postpaid is not for prefix 012. When asked why is all this not stated in the Terms and Conditions, the answer was not all is mentioned in the Terms and Condition; and it is stated in the FAQ. Ridiculous right? If you don't mentioned it in the Terms and Conditions, then it is not a Condition. Also, if the FAQ forms parts of the Terms and Conditions, then in the Terms and Conditions, it should have mentioned that FAQ is part and parcel of the document. Hotlink Postpaid Flex have 3 separate documents that forms it's Terms and Conditions, namely and accordingly to its importance is Service Specific, General and Summary.

Service Specific Terms and Conditions (SSTC) - Hotlink Postpaid Flex.
https://www.hotlink.com.my/ms/tnc/plan-serv...d-flex-tnc.html

General Terms & Conditions of Service(s) (GTC).
https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/tnc/general-tnc.html

Summary Terms And Conditions of Maxis Services(s) (STC).
https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/tnc/summary-tnc.html

I lodged a formal complaint with Maxis and give them 7 days to resolve this amicably. After several calls on day 1 and day 3, and them failing to give me an answer with regards to their own Terms and Conditions and actual practice, I have doubt that this will be resolved. So I detailed the incidents and email to MCMC and also state that Maxis have another 4 days left to resolved this with me.

Tuesday, after 8 days, Maxis called and told me that the management have given approval. In my mind, "wow, we got a special approval for something as simple as changing plans, finally".

Morale of the story is, always read the fine line. You never knew when it may be use in your advantage.

A bit difference compared with Celcom XPAX.. inside toilet of high rise building and I could barely get signal from Celcom anda slow internet. But with hotlink I could get better connectivity and able to surf my browsing..

Signal I think slightly better than Celcom based on these 2 days. Hard to conclude but it's a summary based on recent usage.

Maxis has this rm38/day thingy while roaming. Cannot opt out which to me is a bummer. Not acceptable.
