is this  response/source from uob?

Oh sorry, I didn't get the info from UOB.
But similar to Maybank M2 Amex March 2017 cashback calculation.
See if someone would report receiving total cashback >RM50 for January1-31.

In conclusion, if you spent just exclusively before 5th Jan, you will not get cash back.

If you spent before 5th and combined with minimum swipes after 5th, you will get cash back even for transactions incurred before 5th Jan.

Who else in first situation? Looks like we need to complain. Damn it, if I know I will drag some payments to 5th.

same boat as you, swiped b4 5th jan and no cb yet

I suspect is they do manual crediting for those cardholder swipe between 1-4th Jan as their system can’t captured

**Subject to a total capping of RM110,000 allocated per calendar month which will be rewarded on a first come, first serve basis.

what does this mean? to be safe play we have to complete the transaction every 1 of month?

Sadly yes. Preferred platinum has a higher pool, 200k, you can consider that if you can easily spend 1000 per month in the shortest time possible.

same like HLB Wise lor, still shout/brag the card with highest cb of 10% and RM100 cb per month. however, you still need to spend rm2k per month. doh.gif

pref plat has cb pool, hence it's fcfs. it will never be guaranteed cb per your statement "as long as can hit 1K, will get CB RM50". perhaps higher chance if less ppl finishing the cb pool. still a gamble nonetheless.

At least HLB Wise guarantee RM100 cb if you meet the RM2K spend. Based on the current revision of other banks' card feature, Wise seems like good choice ... just my 2 cents..

Only if you actually hit 2k spending every single month.

Otherwise by last few days of the month you're scrambling to finish swipe 2k....

even better suddenly got refund or cancelation of an item which makes your whole RM100 disappear =)

actually most of their card has no af waiver criteria anyway. you know i know, it is not difficult to waive.

i am not in need of the card as i still have amex quota. 2 person's quota for one household is enough. biggrin.gif too tired to apply for another uob card. i will have 3 uob cards, no thanks.

i have difficulty meeting the min requirement alone for utilities and because of the fcfs, dont like to rely on random dining expenses over the month. which was why, i forgot about this card, someone mentioned the new benefits last month, but min 1000 and fcfs is a no-no for me
*
The UOB card center told me can call to waive for preferred platinum card but subjected for approval. I'm considering to apply smile.gif

I have updated post #1, based on the feedback here, some are more detailed some less. but my updates kinda assume that anything via uob payonline works, even for telekom although mostly only reported on TNB, also Jompay works too.

Next round, you guys can post the eligible merchants in details. and i will update accordingly. but i will still stay out of this madness of 16 swipes... keep it purely for gsc. LOL

For the revised YOLO 8% cashback, is it safe to assume that every online transaction (includes motor insurance renewal, cukai taksiran, UOBPAYONLINE, etc) entitle for cashback?
