Haha.. I guess maybe million of customer using this card call and cancel...
How can do such a non-sense things impose service charge by monthly? That is not a prepaid card. shakehead.gif

I remember last time the B Prepaid card (You know is which card lah~) impose service fee if do not perform any transactions PER MONTH.
At the end, I withdraw submit the application.... But luckily, this time B prepaid card did not impose service fee until further notice... thumbup.gif

I'm quite sure you got this wrong.

It is nothing new for UOB and we are very comfortable with this approach.

You need to key in YOLO card no. and it will show you RM 5. If it is out of stock and you don't get it, you will be notified and you can cancel the purchase.

I requested for cancellation last month. The 'retention' department called to offer me 2 years free AF.
Let's see if I will get slapped with this monthly fee then.

I wonder whether those with 2-year annual fee waiver are still required to use Yolo card, at least once each calendar month, or not. hmm.gif

Which will take precedence? 2-year annual fee waiver granted by retention team, or the revision of annual fee to monthly fee?

I asked uob cs and their answer via email:

// We wish to inform that the your annual fee waiver will be remain. //

don't know how they implement this but don't really matter to me since I'm using it each month.

no way to know.

// UOBM does not have any obligation to inform the Cardmembers should the Cash Back payout reach the maximum payout limit. //

No. What I wanted to ask was, has UOB YOLO run out of quota to pay cash back in the past or not?

Such a big bank, of course no but cash back entitlement is based on FCFS. So, to avoid from not getting it, we will spend early of the month and pray hard we will get cash back.
Only 110k per month, assuming if everyone gets RM 50, it’s enough for only 2200 cardholders.

why do you ask this? why uob yolo?

other cards/banks also have tons of cb for their customers, havent seen such issue whereby bank unable to fulfill their own T&C. if they really do, expect uproars from card users and gotta answer BNM as well.

Then I'll use YOLO during first two weeks, and other cards during the last two weeks of the month.

If nobody has heard any complaints of not receiving any cash back from YOLO, then at this time should be safe to spend on YOLO card.

the only reason ppl not getting cb is because cb pool depleted, as there is a finite amount to disperse per month, as stated in the T&C of the card.

hence, the FCFS cb utilization and ppl are spending as early as possible. read back previous reports on the timeframe when the monthly cb pool depleted.
