Need help on a couple of stuff:
1) Do I need to register for Xiaomi phone in order to activate the warranty?
2) Also, is there a website that I can check when my Xiaomi phone warranty starts and ends? [I remembered ever checking on this but now I cannot recall the site. Now only can find site on whether imei is valid]
Thanks

Updated mine, regretted it after 2 days. Insane battery loss compared to previous version. This is on idle, with no apps running. Sometimes it is Cell Standby eating the battery. Sometimes it is Android process itself. Not sure who in Xiaomi performing testing for this update zzz If anyone knows how to fix this, would be grateful. And oreo still has WPS connection while PIE is totally removed features.

Battery consistently loss 30% every night (11pm - 6am). Randomly phone can heat up (until like 45C+ when charging).
Will never ever update from a stable build again.

Already reset to factory settings. Waste my time, same nonsense. the downward slide is on idle, power saving on, all apps closed. The item consuming battery is the Cell Standby.

Folks, when you upgraded to Pie, and if still battery drain during standby, you can try check the auto-start app. Sometimes, the auto-start get reset and it will auto-start all apps in the background. Disable all auto-start, except for apps that really need it. For example, WhatsApp. Those messengers apps can be your battery draining source.
Settings > Permissions > Autostart And if you see "Running" icon in those non-auto start app, then try this: Security App > Fix or Cleaner, after that re-boot phone
Also, if your mobile signal switches between 4G and 3G frequently, this can drain battery fast. Either you lock to 4G only or 3G. Or your phone is in a 'dead' spot between the cell towers.
