Ya, no longer work now

After many sleepless nite, I came to a decision not to go blind. I'm sure I suffer more and later die heart broken not able to watch prawn anymore...lol.

It has been 48hrs since update to Pie. So far so gud. No issue wat so ever. In fact it feels snappier now than b4 and gud batt life. Yea maybe some just placebo.
But 1 eye candy is when charging than screen showing ni nice animation.


Ohh...btw, need to update to 10.3.1.0.OEIMIXM | Stable 341M first b4 I was later greeted with update link to PEIMIXM Android 9 Pie which was over 1+GB.

I'm very glad I did so ur suggestion became irrelevant..haha. Can still enjoys prawn!!!

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know the PEI only appears after you updated to OEI.

I'll update sometime after they come out with the first patch for PEI.

Did you backup your stuff before updating? roughly how long did the whole process take for installing the update?

No backup just pray2 nothing bad would come. Me sweat2 alot tho..
Reboot update took a while I think approx 10-15mins or so at bootscreen.

That's what I thought when it stayed for that long w/o any sign it would proceed to lock screen. Prev updates didn't take that long.

Just now only noticed there's pie update...

Hey anyone encounter the updater keep redownload again when reaches near 100%? Been trying to update but it keep downloading itself i check it loaded 5gb already. Any fix i tried clear app cache each time it fail.

I experienced similar but at 65% when it failed during PEI. Then, the whole process started back at 0%. Only after the 3rd time it finally went through. Fyi, updating OEI earlier was smooth.

The update to Android Pie, causes instability in dual apps functionality. Previously, in Oreo, when you open 2 apps together, you can tap in the middle "-" for the apps to swap places. But in Pie, the tap "-" no longer working and sometimes causes the dual app to crash or blank screen. This is pretty bad.

Im able to update so far testing on normal use is fine but hotspot is not working no clue how yo get it work, anyone? Tried reset network in the setting and reboot still cant make it work, my pc wont see the hotspot appearing.

NVM, solved it, just go disable and reenable USB debugging and it works again, weird, wifi hotspot broken by usb debugging.

Updates:
Okay it a shit update, totally regretted it, now Hotspot will randomly fail to work after u switch it off, VPN apps all fail to work without rebooting and reset the app cache, gps google map fail to log satelite along agps properly sometimes show wrong location or lock on takes super long. Battery life is about the same. And they call it stable update, whao, who the hell test for them?

Am thinking of buying redmi note 5. But is it using 636 or 625 snapdragon processor?

Lazada saying that its 636 snapdragon but gsmarena is saying redmi note 5 (also known as redmi 5 plus) is 625 snapdragon. Mi malaysia website shows note 5 (with 636 snapdragon) but no note 5 plus. Soyacincau website on some articles say its 636 snapdragon but then on other articles when comparing with redmi note 5 pro says, that redmi note 5 is 626 snapdragon

So confused

redmi note 5 india = SD625 = single camera
redmi note 5 pro india = redmi note 5 global = SD636 = dual camera

wonder why you not interested in latest redmi note 7? this model more than a year ady

RN7 GPS problem?

Anyone unlocked bootloader but fastboot getvar product doesn't return whyred on Redmi Note 5 Pro?

Thanks. So its SD636 then. Getting RN5 instead of RN7 because I can get it at $599 for RN5 vs $735 for RN7. Both Xiaomi guaranteed warranty and 4GB, 64GB.
