I noticed they put Sony primary sensor, so it's the IMX363 instead of the Samsung sensor.

The official redmi note 5 released in Malaysia is the same spec as the one selling in China or India?

B4 using Asus, was using xiaomi redmi 2 I think and man, so damn hard to claim warranty.. screen not responding to touch within a month of usage, sent for warranty, more or less 3 month only return.
Last yr my aunt bought redmi note 4, again within a month screen problem but this time within a month successful rma

I guess xiaomi is improving, and now with physical shop, should be much better
I'm planning to recommend redmi 5 plus to my uncle instead of redmi note 5, since he don't game at all..

I don't think that review report on global set has different spec from china's version. At least not on the camera sensor. Look at the below site with the picture of camera spec for malaysian launching of RN5. In clearly stated the sensors spec. If they really swap the sensor to the more inferior one as in the report, then really can't trust xiaomi anymore.

But don't think xiaomi that stupid to shoot own foot, when it clearly state the spec during launching. Moral of the story, internet is full of 'fake news' or at least wrong info.
