Thats only If you are the one who handle project. .Net Programmer will not have this benefit because you will belong to coorperate team. Why I know? I am one of them previously, just leave.

QUOTE(David83 @ May 23 2007, 08:34 AM) You meant it's only for the project manager/owner? Nope, normally there will be a local IT people helping when startling a new product line. so he will be getting its. All the .Net developer position is belong to cooperate team, you design software for flextronics for all site. You just base there but not report to Shah alam site, so you will not getting any new phone. This post has been edited by jimmy79: May 23 2007, 10:04 AM

Benefits: EPF from co : 17 % Medical : Hospitalization, covers spouse and kids, even covers for new births
Working environment: Sucks BIG time. I worked there for 2 years, as Production Section Head. In my 11 years of working experience, this company is really2 bad. Production line is known for pressure. But over there, man, indescribable. As Production is the core of the company, other supporting departments gets f***ed too. But off course less. I have talked to other people from other departments. They said the pressure or workload is ok to them. But they always pity the production guys. The company always advertise looking for people. Expansion? Bullshit. More due to very high turn over rate. My subordinates can only last for no more than 1 year. There are also a couple of execs and supervisor than stayed for 6 months and less. I can go on. Any way, all this while i thought a Chinaman controlled company is very bad. But Flextronics(Shah Alam), it is controlled by Indians. 75% of the snr execs n managers and above are Indians. So is their Plant Manager, Their Vice Pres. So you figure out yourself when a company is runned by monkeys.

Recently, I saw flextronics advertised for few positions in Finance division.. dunno is new hire or replacement due to turnover of staff.. Added on May 23, 2007, 5:13 pmhow about bonus? good or not? any contractual bonus? how many annual leave they provide? This post has been edited by EspritD: May 23 2007, 05:13 PM

Not sure if they still have the small smoking room? anyway, its just a good stepping stone company for most ppl.

I was from CM production background... After I escaped from the CM company, I swear not to go back to CM again. Most of my pals from CM background esp in production line are the same.
If I am not wrong, Flextronics is the biggest CM company in the world. I wont doubt they surely will have attractive or at least better than local company package. But CM is just CM. CM get contracts from big or principle companies. And these companies or customers are always demanding. The customer always want yesterday delivery eventhough they give order today.
If u could find, go for those principle companies and u'll be King.

Principle company? I think it's termed as Original Design Manufacturer (ODM).
If you work in CM, you will or could learn a lot. If you could survive in CM, then you're tough.

The nearest i think you can do is take KTM till batu tiga station and take taxi from there. If you have do not have own transport, you might face problem working in flextronics. interview? normal test like other company
