Kind of agree with this... 8 and 8 Plus should be more stable I guess (not mentioning a few bugs from iOS 11, here and there)... but hardware wise, it must be better than previous model...

A good choice for users who are happy with the 4 year old design language. Safe.

Defective product will happen during manufacturing.
So don't be too worried if a few minority cases of defects are reported
This reminded me of my ex boss brand new RM800k S Class - it broke down in 2 weeks. Does this means Mercedes had poor QC ??
As long as a human effort is in the manufacturing process , there is always a possibility of defect arising. Only sampling inspection are done at various stages
That is when warranty coverage come in on cases of defects found

Probably the next IPhone X upgrade will be more stable, lessen the problem units here and there.

If the Pixel XL2 was available locally, I might be tempted to switch camps. Just might. Hahaha...

The pixel 2 (not XL) was my original choice before I decided on the ipx. Google not being bothered to launch it here and my urge to leave android basically helped make the final decision.

This year the pixel 3 may be just the ipx clone to buy ha ha. Notch on display - check, no headphone - check, stereo speakers - check, wireless charging - check, water resistance - check tongue.gif

hi,

anyone facing issue where..apps laggingly responding to cellular data..for example Simplex FX which provides FX exchange rates for some major currencies will somehow stuck for about 10 seconds before displaying the current rates. Only when i take out the iphone x from its case and restart the phone will the apps function normally. This also happens to other apps such as facebook where it takes time before loading new feeds. However, when i use wifi...there is no problem. i have changed the sim card (maxis) to a new one, suspecting the sim card is faulty, but the same problem remains.

Hope anyone can share their experience on this if any

Agreed, not worth the upgrade due to same A11 chip and RAM. Wait for the more refined new full screen iPhone.

FaceID does work but its not as accurate as TouchID. my 6plus TouchID was much more responsive..

sometimes faceID doesnt detect and goes to the password screen. Have to cancel to lock screen (with date) and reactivate faceID. Happens quite frequently. But when it works, it happens seamlessly...

Overall, TouchID is better at the moment due to the super fast and perfectly accurate unlock success rate.

On the screen size, its not all that better than other LCD screen. u wont notice the difference really.. The screen is not as nice as Samsung's S8. this is my honest every usage review.

Conclusion: Stick with ur 8Plus.
