I have both phones, main difference you will notice is the battery life where the iPhone 8 Plus have a better battery life compared to the X.

Also in the beginning, you will find the FaceID to be more of a hassle compared to the iPhone 8 Plus. Previously when you want to see notifications on the iP8+, you just need to put your finger on the home button to unlock, but on the iPX you have to hover your face in front of the phone screen to unlock just to see the notifications.

It was a hassle for me in the beginning, but after using the iPX for so long now I got used to it already

I got used to the X after just a couple of weeks. When I traded it with my wife's 8 Plus after a couple of months i kept looking at the 8 Plus and wondering why it doesn't unlock

I also facing this problem Forget to use the home button to unlock. Keep trying to swipe up to unlock

Yes can

Only "problem" will be warranty claim as sometimes it is a hit and miss in Malaysia where the AASP will reject your warranty claim bcos it is not Malaysia Set.
Other than the warranty "problem", should be good to go

i'm switching to XS Max and my iX will transfer to my wife then her i7+ will keep as spare

Do you think iPhone 6S plus good to upgrade to iPhone 8+ or iPhone XS ??

If budget is a concern then I would say the Xr will be a better buy than the 8+. If money is not a concern then obviously the Xs

The xr doesn’t even have a full HD display. IMHO a big nono for me.

If I had an ip8+ I would only consider the xs max as an upgrade this year.

Agree, but if I had a 6S Plus and was upgrading with the Xs Max out of my budget, I’d sacrifice full HD screen for the latest chipset and Face ID

But that’s my personal point of view, of course.

Oh from 6s+. I’d probably go 8+ then ha ha.

Screen is very important to me.

I would like to view first the XR display before deciding to dispose off the ip8+
Theoretically the XR is poorer but than for me I don't think is a critical issue?

i am also planning to replace my kid obselette iP6+ with a new model, either a iPXR or iPXS. I would say iP6s plus is the most reliable iPhone model so far.

It’s all up to individual preference I guess.

I have a work ip8 and the while the screen itself is high quality IPS LCD, the pixel density makes my eyes squint when reading my work email. 326ppi also IIANM.

Gotta hand it to Apple though. Tight OS and Hardware integration. They make low res look good lol.

Ya, thing is the normal 6,7 and 8 have the same resolution as the XR (326 PPI) and they don't look bad at all. But like Benny says best to view the actual thing before deciding
