Anyone facing problem with inaccurate GPS?
*
Hey, I’m not iPhone X user but I use iPhone 6 and 5s and it has the same problem. Funny thing is when I go to Xiaomi Mi Max 2, I don’t face this problem. My friend using iPhone 7 also faces same problem.

I use Waze today for the first time and to my surprise, the experience of using Waze was much better on my S7 Edge as compared to my iPhone X. I tend to miss junction when using it on my iPX and when I missed it take some time to find and navigate to the right way back as compared to S7 Edge it is almost instantaneously. sweat.gif
*
My cheap xiaomi phone does a better job when it comes to navigation than my iPhones

Kann. No wonder la before this when i use waze on my wife’s iPhone we always missed junction and recalculating. sweat.gif i just update my X to 11.2.5, haven’t try waze yet, hopefully better than 11.2.

Yeah i think its secretly done by Google to get people to use Android more

What’s the likelihood Apple will adjust iPhone 8/X pricing in Malaysia? At current pricing just makes me scared to buy one and then few weeks later Apple drops the price. Sure feel regret.

iPhone 8 $699 = RM2723 + 6% GST
iPhone 8 Plus $799 = RM3113 + 6% GST
iPhone X = $999 = RM3893 + 6% GST

miss turn is normal, my waze was pointing in opposite direction 😑
Never had this issue even on my old iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 & iPhone 6.
*
Orientation is a big issue for me. When I use iPhone, it cannot tell me if I am facing north, south, west or what. However my cheap android phone is able to tell me which side I am facing easily. You can test this out yourself when you use the google maps app, but choose “walking” instead of “driving”.

Someone offer me ipad pro 12.9 128gb with pencil + nova 2i swap my ipx 64gb. Worth or not
*
No, rule of thumb is that it is never worth it to trade an iphone for an android.

And ipad pro 12.9 128gb isn't worth the same as iphone X.

has anyone use apple maps to replace google maps or waze? how does it do compare with the other 2?
*
It’s really bad compared to Google Maps and Waze in Malaysia. I tried it few years ago. Not sure if it’s any good now?

Apple really needs to revise pricing of iPhones in Malaysia. Such a rip off to buy at current prices unless you were offered rm1000 discount like machines today.

Not good for existing owners though.

At current rate Singapore sellers are making a killing selling their imported phones in Malaysia. Wonder how Malaysian sellers are coping with this?

Anyone else experience dizziness or nausea when using the phone with brightness lower than 50%?

Struggling tu use it during nightime, inducing heavy dizziness

It's because the OLED screen. Some people have complained about it:

that would like the biggest flaw in iphone x. That is why they stop production.
*
It’s not flaw of iPhone X, it’s the OLED screen. Android users who use OLED also have the same issue, but it affects small minority of people only.

If you want OLED, you just got to stick with it.

Damn, now that u mentioned this I did recall back having migraine last 2 weeks. I never had migraine before this. It's weird because I never had it so I didn't know it was migraine. I thought it's just a normal headache. Now that I've read the article and read more on migraine it's all make sense. And it happen a week after I bought my iPhone. Sighhh.. sweat.gif
*
But some users said that you should give it time. Let your eyes adapt to the new OLED screen. Then won’t have headache anymore.

Defective product will happen during manufacturing.
So don't be too worried if a few minority cases of defects are reported
This reminded me of my ex boss brand new RM800k S Class - it broke down in 2 weeks. Does this means Mercedes had poor QC ??
As long as a human effort is in the manufacturing process , there is always a possibility of defect arising. Only sampling inspection are done at various stages
That is when warranty coverage come in on cases of defects found
*
Can't imagine your boss paid RM800K for Merc S Class and it broked down after 2 weeks. Hope they replaced that new Merc for all his trouble. Else I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping the car if all they did was just fixed it.

I rather get imported USA set. Warranty can be claimed here as well. Up to 3 yrs instalment 0%

If you should know, USD to MYR is 3.9 only. USD999 x 3.9 is how much? Apple Malaysia price should be adjusted. Over inflated. Malaysia was once the cheapest place to buy Apple product vs USD. I still remmeber my iPhone 6 only cost RM2.7k for 64gb when launched (when USD was x3.1)
*
You are absolutely right. I keep telling people that it's more worth it to go SG and buy an iPhone than to buy in Malaysia. What's more, this is really bad business for malaysian sellers as they are losing business to SG sellers, who are taking advantage of Malaysia's high retail price when malaysians flock to SG to buy their iPhones (or even buy the SG set online).

After using 4S, 6S and X

i still think one thing apple lose to android device is the wifi receive range  sweat.gif

both my x and redmi 5+ connect to same wifi on same location, my iphone will longer time to load a webpage (redmondpie.com) while my redmi 5+ can load faster.

And this issue same goes to my ipad air 2 and macbook pro  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif
*
Yeah, same here, my Android phones seem to have further range compared to my iphones. Also, when comes to navigation, Android works better. Just try Google Maps, it's more precise and faster. On iPhone, the location sometimes off and the navigation seems slower, sometimes I miss my turning because of that.

Wondering if the US Qualcomm set has less GPS issues than the Intel version
*
Actually I'm wondering if US set is okay too? Seems the issue is just about warranty. But price is really better compared to Malaysia set. And also US set seems better when it comes to internet cause the Qualcomm set instead of intel.
