Which of these majors will secure me a good paying job n also can rise up to high posts? I dun wanna end up having a low paying job. Nowadays salary is important. Worlds getting realistic. Very realistic. These r the majors I'm interested in.
My accounting is good but I dun really like d life of an accountant. Finance is more of my thing. Planning n stuff.
1) Accounting & Finance
2) Banking & Finance
3) Financial Risk Management
4) Econometrics & Business Statistics
Which major will enable me 2 hav a good job prospect n better pay?

Age 25 earning SGD4.2K as an accountant, izit underpaid or it is the market rate now?

I think it's quite easy lor. I work 3 yrs already almost 5k, but I started working late (at 25). Somebody who starts work at 22, 6 years to get 5k shouldn't be a problem even in non-sales line if he/she is a fairly top performer.

don't do the job yourself. hire people work for you. that's the real solution. don't work like a cow and rest when your nearly dead.

boss no need to work like cow ?

you watch too much movie ? boss in movie only go golf, drive big car and court girl ...

boss is the one that come out idea to bring profit to company, still need scratch head to find more business ... and every month end need end sure got salary got staffs ...

and when your staffs resign, you need scratch head to find new staffs again ...

not to say boss not good, everyone love to own business, but there is pro and con ...

i got a question here...
when the company ask for current salary and expected salary..
does it mean basic salary?
or include all the allowances like petrol, housing....which made up the total salary?

keep saving ppl and u get there ! current salary as in your basic salary now and expected salary is how much u expecting in the new company for your basic.

Hmm...I think your experience and qualification is one thing...luck also important...don't you all agree??

Im 17 years old this year, next year will start my college life.
Will study in Finance related courses.
Can i try to invest my holidays salary ? So i can get at least >5k salary at the age of 28 ?

U dont need to even have degree to earn 5k, can earn even 10k. Just join SIA, my bro working there earning between 4-6k sing. Too bad its capped over there but its good money for not alot of effort and paper qualification.

-NETWORK with people.
-Do your job with PASSION.
-Be GOOD in what you do.

I'm in the IT industry. People say it's not a big world out there which I absolutely agree.

I have good rapport with people I deal with within/outside of my organization. Got a good recommendation due to good working reputation with my vendors.

I have hit the 5k mark at 25.
