QUOTE(peri peri @ Sep 7 2018, 09:31 AM) after port from Umobile to yoodo, the speed very sux! umobile at least 15(d) & 20(u) but celcom only 2.5(d) and 9(u) anyway to instruct celcom to boost up signal? Tho I am using yoodo as my main line for calls and other things, but not for data. Data on Celcom in my place so poor despite the full bar of LTE. Quite few times raised ticket for that and lastly they confirmed that the cell congested during peak hours. Can't do much on yoodo side and and they said they would do the upgrade on 2019. I doubt they won't as I have been hearing these fews back during my stay with celcom and redone. For data now I am using digi broadband home.

For rural areas don't underestimate digi tau, during their 1800mhz era they have to built more cells just to compete with their rivals on 900mhz in term of same coverage. Now they are senang hati as they have more transmissions to run vast LTE coverage now imo.

I can agree with you if in Penang, but my hometown Celcom was bad in my house (blinkspot maybe), then digi is worst in speed. Best 3G is Umobile pula and 4G is Maxis...

why is it so difficult?
2 SIMS. primary for your contact number. just use 2G or 3G. 2nd sim, put in your favourite LTE 4G network provider. anytime go down, reverse the affinity.

Just ran a speedtest of different APN between Celcom and MNVO riding on same network, seem like Tunetalk is most uncapped while Yoodo is slowest. Most balanced is default celcom3g Tested with same phone, same server at same location.

lucky you for 24mbps the highest achieved, but for me for any APN tested, none reached more than 1mbps in the evening, only about 7mbps during off peak.

Fastest I've tested is 35Mbps but tried compared in same time also. Avg got 10Mbps here.... How many bars in your phone? If 4G weak, better fix with 3G only for faster speed and battery saving. And phone lacking resources might degraded your speed as well. This post has been edited by wilson1stop: Sep 7 2018, 03:13 PM

The long time issue with this celcom cell, upload is more than 6mbps btw. The Digi what I am using now even the bar between 3 and 4 bar, but I am consistently enjoying up to 10mbps any time.

Between I'm tested indoor, if testing in outdoor is not accurate.
