they are prepaid. you pay first before you use their service.

postpaid is when you use first and then get billed later.

THEY say they are not.

if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, MOST probably it's a duck.

it holds true even if the duck insists on convincing everyone else that the duck is a swan.

Don't know why so many fellas here are so angry at Yoodo for denying that they're prepaid.  Are you going to take them to court?

Yoodo do not see themselves as traditional prepaid but they're absorbing the SST (which is there).
*
I don't see anyone is angry. but black is black, white is white.
if it is required to pay first before service is rendered, then it is prepaid.
absorbing tax or not absorbing the tax, does not change the requirement to pay first before service is rendered. for the previous 3 months of tax-free, they still ask to pay first, didn't they?

"neither here nor there prepaid-postpaid" is just marketing hype. it's basically a set plan with zero credit risk to telcos - they are not lending you anything, right? everything still have to pay upfront, right? if run out of entitlements, have to top up first before purchasing additional entitlements, right?

so, if it is no difference than prepaid, then why bother?

the key difference other than customisation is, it transforms your top-up
- from just being "customer bank balance" that telco owes you for eternity until you decide how to spend it (calls, sms-es, data, add-ons, carrier billing) or credit transfer it (-ekhem- sell it off, monetise it back),
- into a regular income for the telco by you having to utilise prepaid credit or to do fresh top up in order to do monthly renewal.

you are not alone. i'm using celcom itself and was experiencing disappointment just yesterday night. switched to maxis' spare and it works immediately.

what if we run out of quota for any (minute, sms, data) in middle of the period?

what's the pricing for additional quota?

same as what the slider is showing? or is it much more expensive?

cut-throat expensive?

if you have the app installed, from the booster (buy more) you can check and compare yourself the price.

I don't like to install play store apps because google will remember "I was here" inside the store's installation history.

(so now you know you will not find tumblr inside my history of ever-installed app)

why is it so difficult?

2 SIMS. primary for your contact number. just use 2G or 3G. 2nd sim, put in your favourite LTE 4G network provider. anytime go down, reverse the affinity.

can I use it as a sim card  for broadband dongle by subscribe data only?

there's only a few operators+plans that are bothered about tethering. all of them are "fully" postpaid, which, "hybrid" yoodo is not.

(really, who came out with this preposterous"hybrid" classification? oh wait - it is indeed postpaid BUT with zero credit limit being extended.)
