Some update from NVIDIA SHIELD Team on future of Shield TV.
As expected, Shield TV probably will be getting Android 11 or who knows they might surprised us with Android 12..😉
Recently, they hinted that they are working on the next 'big' update release.

Iinm, for US server VPN is only needed when login but for playing latency is the issue.
Even though i don't use GeForce Now but i've login to US server before this..

To access to Singapore server(no VPN required):
1. Logout from GeForce Now on Shield TV
2. Re-login & key-in the PIN @ https://geforcenow.com/login
3. Once successful login, click on 'Show providers for other regions'
4. Scroll down & choose 'StarHub'
5. Follow further instructions...

Need to be more specific on your setup..
Is it happening on all apps or only certain apps?

If yours is Shield TV 2019, try disabling Dolby Processing but i think this will disable Atmos on Netflix app..

There was a good explanation by Nvidia on how this thing work & when to use but i can't find it now..😅

You can control Shield TV with your Sony TV remote via CEC..

On Sony TV there is option to choose which section of the button on the remote to be used via CEC..

That's how i'm using it and with the help from refresh rate app i can configure color button on the TV remote to access home & recent apps..

If the TV remote is IR type then you'll experience a bit delay in respond compare to Shield TV remote

No official support for racing wheel on Shield TV..

Some user manage to used it with VirtualHere but the license is expensive..

What model is your Sony TV? Android TV or linux?

Once CEC is setup on both device, it should able to do basic navigation without any additional settings.
Go to Bravia Sync Settings>Device Control Settings & choose any available option.
Maybe control setings are disabled by default.

In my setup, i set to 'Tuning Keys' so that the numeric keys can be used to control Shield TV.
There is another option which is 'Menu Keys' that will set Home & other middle keys to control Shield TV but this will make it difficult to access TV's setting. The alternative way will be by using SYNC Menu button & choose TV Control to access TV's setting.

On system level, not possible..

Developers need to add the feature in their app..

Gamestream & Geforce Now might have it..

In your case there's probably issue with signal interference between USB 3.0 and BLE.

Go to settings>device preference>system>USB mode & set it to Compatibility Mode

Do note, this will downgrade the performance of the USB port..

Supposed by now all 2015/2017 Pro model warranty should have expired unless you are referring to warranty provided by local seller..

..or yours is 2019 Pro model which does not have HDD..

The 2017 Pro model has the same specs as 2015 Pro but packed with new Shield Controller.

Yup, the new 2019 Pro only has 16GB storage and does not have HDD inside but can still expand storage with adoptable storage feature.
It is basically repackage of STV 2017 16GB model with upgraded CPU, remote & new features(DV, Dolby MS12 & AI Upscaling)

Recommend to use SSD as adoptable storage for best performance and only expand storage if you really need extra space for apps.
For videos or other files, better to use NAS or HDD as removable storage.

Actually the symptoms you describe in your previous post is new to me because based on others & my own personal experience having usb device connected to STV USB port will only cause signal interference when trying to navigate but no issue in reconnecting after sleep. Also the issue will appear the moment any usb device connected to the usb port.
But this was on my STV 2017(w/o BLE module) & Shield 2017 Remote.

Maybe some new changes on STV 2019 has introduce new symptoms for the same issue.

That's why i didn't suggest that method to you & there were reports of some 2019 remote having hardware failure.

According to Nvidia, the Google voice search feature is not officially supported with 3rd party remote but based on my personal experience using G30s remote i'm able to use the voice search.
Not sure whether mine was defective or otherwise, the remote just can't 'listen' to some words like Exit, Sleep & Cancel.
Unfortunately due to my own mistake the usb dongle stop working thanks to heat..😅

So there is risk that the voice search feature might stop working at some point if there's changes by Google.

IIRC, 3rd party remote don't use same mapping as per Android TV apps.
Nvidia tried to add custom mapping database for 3rd party remote using their vendor ID but i think they had stop doing that because there are too many remotes & some same remote has different vendor ID.

In your case, Leankey Keyboard might solve your issue.
If you are using air mouse remote, then there is another advantage using this app where you can use the mouse cursor to type.

Only few media player apps able to support DV playback with specific format.

Just did a test..

You need to VPN to login to Nvidia US GeForce NOW server and start the game then once the game is loaded, you can disconnect the VPN and resume play the game but the latency is very high..

Duration of playtime depends on your GeForce NOW membership.

Yes i'm aware of the different type of service.
If you already have SmartDNS then you can use their SmartVPN service which is already included in their subscription but you will need to sideload the app.

If you only want to use DNS proxy then i'm not sure about it.

Last i checked to access GeForce Now Singapore server, you don't need VPN but you do need paid membership.

Do you use VPN and connected to any one of the supported country's server even for few minutes?
If yes then that is the cause that trigger the new UI.

It will revert to old UI once the device detects that it is outside of supported countries. Sometimes it will take few days to change back.

None of my device have the new UI. Few days back had it but it was due to VPN.
