Hi everyone, hope someone can help me.

I have an EMachine ET1831 with a 250watt Delta DPS-250AB-22E power supply.

Can i replace this psu with another higher watt model. Like 350 watt or higher.

Any recommendations apart from buying a new system?

Thanks....

Yes. You can buy as big of a PSU as you want biggrin.gif

is corsair GS600w good enough for Oc-ing intel i52500k and msi gtx560ti hawk?

Arguably even 550W is more than enough. However I generally recommend customer to take TX series, and 650W.

Guys I have some question here. Recently I watched a video that talks about power consumption. The video is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKk2_1u26tg
Well Linus put in all high end parts in and the end Wattage usage is only 500~600W under full load. So my question is why do we need PSU that is rated above 800~1200W?

Xigmatek NRP-PC-702 700W [80+ Bronze]
Cooler Master GX 650W [80+ Bronze]
Seasonic S12II 620W [80+ Bronze]

All three seems to have similar pricing by average, but which one is better bang for the buck? Or maybe lower RMA rate?

I have did some research and all of them more or less have very good output and low voltage ripple in tests.

Might be building a new rig that will be used mainly for work (photo and video editing), some light gaming with a midrange graphics card (HD68xx/HD78xx class), and CPU overclocking for benching purpose only. Will not run overclocked setup for daily use.

I bought a Corsair GS600 PSU and just realised my 6950 uses both the PCIE connectors. If I want to crossfire another 6950, is there anyway of doing it or must I change PSU?

600W is not capable of handling two Gpus.

One GPU: 500-650W
Two GPUs: 850W

I just found out about the 7800 series GPU's. I think I will get a 7850. It only uses 1 6 pin connector. If I need to add Xfire, only use another pin. Plus the energy consumption on those cards are very low, even on load.

Most probably have to get a ivy bridge proc (cause it uses only little energy) to ensure the whole rig doesn't stress the PSU with Xfire 7850. I think it maybe achieveable
