QUOTE(ah_khoo @ May 8 2007, 10:42 AM) bro, i think those are just bein unlucky, my fma 465w never fail me since d day i bought it. my rig is loaded with quite some peripherals(check siggy) but d rails still strong even i overclock a 'lil. i have the same psu. rail is strong when overclocked to the fullest. QUOTE(sHawTY @ May 8 2007, 10:50 AM) Maybe you are one of the lucky ones. But me? I have 3 enermax PSU's, and two of them failed when both of the psu doesn't even reach an age of 1 year already fail, what would you like to say about that? Seriously, Enermax has not been good as what they were when they are two - three years ago. Which Enermax did u had? I believe the FMA series (which is considered the low end of all Enermax) have very little problem. My FMA is proven stable... been using it for more than 2 years already.... running overclocked system all the time. No issues at all. On the other hand, I have seen the Liberty series got blown by itself. This post has been edited by soulfly: May 8 2007, 07:29 PM

QUOTE(Are_keem @ May 10 2007, 05:43 PM) ok, its my time to buy a new psu.. tight budget here, only around rm280+.. between enermax FMA II 460w and acbel i-power 450w, which one is better..? quite dislike the enermax bcause it looks like chapalang one .. but the fan speed controller really nice.. on the other hand, acbel is quite attractive with black finishing and LED fan (dont really mind this since had heard many complains bout burning LED) so, any suggestions and comments? gonna upgrading to these : AMD X2 3800+ abit KN9 ultra 7300gt DDR3 2gb of value ram 2 hdds + 1 optical drives also 4-5 120mm fan -adios- Go for the Enermax FMA because it has rear exhaust fan. Rear exhaust fan is the most important thing for psu cooling.

Xigmatek NRP-PC-702 700W [80+ Bronze] Cooler Master GX 650W [80+ Bronze] Seasonic S12II 620W [80+ Bronze]
All three seems to have similar pricing by average, but which one is better bang for the buck? Or maybe lower RMA rate?
I have did some research and all of them more or less have very good output and low voltage ripple in tests.
Might be building a new rig that will be used mainly for work (photo and video editing), some light gaming with a midrange graphics card (HD68xx/HD78xx class), and CPU overclocking for benching purpose only. Will not run overclocked setup for daily use.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ May 25 2012, 04:13 PM) according to hwmonitor, my acbel psu 5v rail is at 5.76v. is it safe? AFAIK, the atx limit is 5% only. for real psu output, use multimeter to check it hardware monitoring tools might be affected by motherboard circuitry.

QUOTE(copyninja4 @ Aug 29 2012, 08:54 PM) erm... after reading AX850 seems a good PSU, but a lot of DOA/kaput after few months/buzzing. Now thinking to buy PCP&C. my 750W PCP&C rock solid! i still have my seasonic on RMA because of DOA... didn't even get the chance to use it. bad luck

QUOTE(andreas @ Sep 4 2012, 10:32 PM) hello to all, should i change my current PSU which CM extreme power plus 500W since i read lots of review stated that it is not efficient. i am worried it cause trouble to my other components. nway, im quite noob in this.perhaps can provide me with advice. so far my pc dun have any prob like auto-restart, but im just worried.tq my specs Mobo : Gigabyte H61MA-D2V CPU : i3 2120 3.3ghz Ram : Regular 1 stick 4GB DDR3 GPU : Msi GTX560 non ti PSU : CM Extreme Power plus 500W Casing : Acer MP1800 case HDD : regular 320GB 1 optic drive tq in advance Your PSU is good enough for normal usage. Realistically speaking there are a lot of people out there who use generic no-name brand psu without any issues for many years. Coolermaster low end series psu only not suitable if you are overclocking because the inner components might not be durable enough to handle stress. Not to worry if all you do is casual gaming, office work or net surfing. I have a 6 or 7 year old cap ayam psu that is still working fine in my sister's rig.
