Dont even bother to upgrade for those kinds of hot route.
Chances to get such upgrade successful very minimal. There are some successful one but generally its not tat easy.
When failed, you will be charge USDXX for some kind of registration, the rest of the upgrade will refund for u and also depending on currency fluctuation. In short, dont bother. They not just send to u only, they send to everyone whom taking the economy cabins. And how many flat bed are there? U do the calculations la...

As for me... if realy want flatbed, buy it during promo straight!

You can probably get around RM650-700+ to Japan but that's not including food, luggage, seats, etc.

Recently I decided to go with ANA when they had promotion, RM1.1k+ all included to Tokyo.

Your travel dates are in October 2017, still got some time to watch out for their big sales.

I usually just send all those email to trash lol. It's so annoying that they keep sending so many of this for each of my bookings.

U can give it a try.
As for me, haven't try those options yet.

Usually, when boarding the plane, I will ask the crew whether the cabins is full or not full.

Full = sit back your own seat lo
Not Full until the door is close = change seat lo, change to another spacious 1.

Then Why Pay Optiontown!? U pay, when u got it, u have the "rights" to the seat they reserve for u. And again, u can do it free right? And if its full, optiontown will do the same, refund and rate subject to currency exchange rate n fluctuation n probably kena charge few USDXX for admin fees la, handling charges la, registrations la...

U booked the seat there.
Link back your booking via AA account and add on your baggage and meal from your AA account.

Last I heard, Traveloka do not charge us RM16 processing fees if pay via credit card when booking AA flight ticket. Not sure this still apply or not!?

Baggage plus meal if u think u need it, better buy together with tickets as adding on later may cost u slightly a bit more $$.

No service charge for payments whatsoever, hence why I booked thru Traveloka. They also have some discounts. So was cheap. How do I link to my Airasia account?

Not true. I did mine for Jetstar and Malindo. The only screwed up thing is you have to ask them what they out your last name is. I have 6 words in my name minus the bin. 3 words is the first name, 3 words is the last. They put only the last word of my name as the last name. But once I know that. no problem doing online check in.

Thanks for the clarification. I've applied and paid via big card, but how come the booking status remains as "need payment"?
