dry at self service laundry je la.
3x/week = 12x/month. 1x dry cost ~rm5 so it's 60/month
rm2999 mean u can dry your cloth for a fricking 50months = 4 years.
no need to worry about machine broken and save space. and this calculation is based on 3x/week drying!

I have both types. I had been using the dryer for 8 years without any problem. Clothes never need ironing. Recently I moved into a new house and bought 2 in 1 combo. Works great so far.

Less wasted time waiting for clothes to dry out in the sun and no worry about rainy days easily worth the extra money spent on electricity bill.

Not here bang, here always got sunshine
Even during rainy season you hang it out of a couple days sure dry
Unlike in other countries got winter season clothes will never dry during those times, so must get one no choice

Most people who says dryer sucks here don't even own one at home. Almost everyone who own a dryer keep praising about the benefits of having it at home. Talk about sour grapes... Dryer use more electricity, clothes shrinking, bla.. bla.. bla.. I don't even recall when was the last time I'm using iron to clear out wrinkles from my clothes... My dryer rating is 2.2 kW, using it only 4 times per week, less than 1 hour usage each time... So, per month I am using only 2.2 kW x 4 hours/week x 4 weeks/month = 35.2 kWh/month. Considering I am paying electricity at higher tariff around 33 cents/ kWh... I am paying only about RM12 maximum per month for electricity usage for the dryer. I don't have to iron my clothes, so I'm saving about 2 hours per week x 1 kW electric for the iron... So that's about RM 2.64 worth of electricity saved (at 33 cents / kWh tariff)... Which means effectively I'm using just RM 10 extra per month as compared to other people with similar amount of laundry load. RM 10 per month is definitely worth it for the last 8 years I'd been using the dryer without any problems with the dryer or the much touted problems of clothes shrinkage. If you worry too much about the extra carbon footprint, just hook up your dryer to a 400 Watt solar panel with batteries to store the solar energy.

You cannot presumed that people who said dryers suck do not own a house. People who praised the dryers maybe the people who live in an apartment with limited place to dry clothes. smile.gif

Who said the dryers won't shrink the clothes. Even drying clothes under the sun also will shrink the clothes but the dryers will shrink them more. It is even warned on original Levi's jean. Shrinking is common on cotton clothing (100% especially) and not on synthetic fabrics. Depends on dryer function but many new dryers tend to be on permanent press mode. Therefore, synthetic clothing and even 80% cotton will not wrinkle. So, may need no ironing. It is the same thing drying under the sun, if you know how.

Pasal dryer pun nak gaduh.

If got extra money just buy la, it worth every penny, save a lot of time.

If got laundry area & good ventilation, just buy conventional ventilation dryer, normally it's faster than condenser dryer as it not need to condense water.

If no laundry space & need to share same space wt kitchen area, just buy condenser dryer. Normally it got more function than venting dryer.

If space very limited & u dont have much time, just buy 2 in 1 washer/ dryer.

Dryer & washing machine already necessary thing this day; no need to be cheapskate.
washing by yr own hand, dry cloth under sun time already past, slowly it will end. 20k salary what...

Cannot blame the dryer but the idiot using.

Cloth normally come with the label how you can wash, dry and iron.

You ignore it, your problem.

Dryer have normal and Low temperature mode. Lower temp but longer time will reduce the shrink.
