most HR depts don't do anything more complex than payroll. 99% of small companies the finance manager IS the HR dept, all of it |

No HR you might get late salary, poor bonus, cheap annual dinner, no amenities, KPI, no OL and many things other than getting poor monkeys which mostly approved from your team leader after first scan from HR. Everyday nightmare on unpaid SOCSO, EPF, late salary and income tax without HR.

Everyday nightmare on unpaid SOCSO, EPF, late salary and income tax without HR. thats why accounting dept suits better handling those sosco, epf, income tax because they are freaking accountants who knows better the tax implication and compliance.. hr is ill-equipped to ensure payroll is handled correctly.. so many MFRS, IFRS and tax implication associated with payroll it's alarming if hr with no tax or accounting expertise handle it.. |

HR not Union, where got they fight fot worker's right. most of the time, they prioritise the company. |

it depends on the size/complexity of the company
for large companies, HR is definitely needed even though you hate them |
