No HR you might get late salary, poor bonus, cheap annual dinner, no amenities, KPI, no OL and many things other than getting poor monkeys which mostly approved from your team leader after first scan from HR. Everyday nightmare on unpaid SOCSO, EPF, late salary and income tax without HR.

To hire a sales guy, get the sales team leader to do the interview

To hire accounts, get the accs dept in charge to hire

HF know how to do sales meh? Know how to do accounts meh? If know then no nid to be HR liao lar NGOK
hence HR most redundant dept. Waste of resources.

But HR doing the payroll lol

thats why accounting dept suits better handling those sosco, epf, income tax because they are freaking accountants who knows better the tax implication and compliance.. hr is ill-equipped to ensure payroll is handled correctly.. so many MFRS, IFRS and tax implication associated with payroll it's alarming if hr with no tax or accounting expertise handle it..

I said "most" and "small" didn't I?

anyway, IMHO even large companies also the HR add very little value to the company. Only in the biggest MNCs with international transfers and complex hiring requirements need a real HR.
