Did they say they reject you ?

you just need to release your number from being a principal. Let say you have Maxis One Plan 188 .. and 2 supp maxis share (RM48) .. how do you suppose its going to work for your supplementary ? keep paying RM48 when there are no principal ?

1. Yes it was rejected. As shown in the picture below.

2. In fact I requested to port out all the numbers which is aligned to what MCMC mentioned on their website. It was a long FAQ and I supposed, so it might be a mistake I didn't post part of the FAQ here. So I had included the MCMC FAQ here and highlighted that particular clause. smile.gif

QUOTE(jien @ Jan 8 2018, 09:28 PM)
Hi,

I am here to ask advice about how to port out of Maxis. So to clear things up, I do not have contract with whatever Maxis plan and I have settled the latest bill.

However I still keep on being rejected when I request to port out to other service provider. I was informed that I never reply the "YES" to the SMS sent by Maxis. I checked and checked and even waited for their message but none of them appeared in my phone. I read that there were cases of Maxis unable to send out those message because their MNP system went down. Seems to me their MNP system really sucks that they are unable to fix them permanently (I am referring to this thread https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3717528/all)

I called up the customer service and they told me my iPhone 6 Plus might be spoiled thus I am unable to receive message. They further said that my other two supplementary lines phones might have also spoiled because they were also unable to received Maxis SMS. Mind you both the other lines also iPhone 6, now I am suspicious that iPhones might not be reliable at all because I am unable to receive SMS specifically from Maxis. Strangely I still can receive messages from other phones.

So anyone here had successfully ported out of Maxis and live to tell the story on how to port out? I am here to listen. Please.

probably maxis dont want you to port out. slike my wife punya case. although dah port out from maxis to celcom last time, then when it comes to porting out from celcom to digi, they said she have due bill from maxis even already settle the final bill long long time ago.

Giving money when you are having problems, tends to solve problems.

Try to use another phone. Also double check your SMSC settings are correct.

they just don wan you to port out... its their SOP

easiest way:

1) post paid to prepaid

2) then, port out.

go maxis, tell them you want to use downgrade to prepaid (hotlink)

same company usually within few hours.

then only port out

LOL, Maxis is really trolling you?!

I did move mine and my family lines to DIGI. It took a while before I manage to port, like a week, if I remember correctly. Had similar sms issue, but they didnt blame my phone, but they mentioned, I didnt reply yet, whereby, I didnt get one.

I went straight to their center and sort things out. Cant remember the details, its been awhile now.

All the best , mate

Yeah! Hahaha! I might consider that. biggrin.gif

However one thing I realised from my experiment here posting my message at lowyat.net is that, there are a lot of Maxis apologist here in this forum. Seems to me a lot of them are blaming on the customer rather than blaming Maxis' incompetencies in solving users problems. It's a little wonder why they won this award rclxms.gif

I ported put, bcoz Digi was value for money, and works well within Klang valley. And they provide much more, like cloud storage, etc
Maxis is better in terms of coverage and service.

each has its plus points

no regrets though.

Very fair comment. I do agree that every service provider has their advantages and disadvantages. No doubt about that. Just that porting out problem kinda annoyed me because it's such a hassle.

ya me too, that was a bummer, I have read about it before I ported out, but when it really happened, it pissed me off...but then it is what it is....biz ethics do really lack in MY, not only MAXIS, pretty much majority of our services here...its not consumer driven
