Dude, your proc is heavily underclocked. Bring up your FSB to at least 330 and use 10 as the multiplier = that should give you 3.3GHz. From there you can work yourself up.

From there you can work yourself up. Dont ever think of that with the current power supply that he is using. Disabling C1E and EIST can get the stock speed of QX6700 of course. But considering the power supply/cooling, it might not recommended.

As i stated there..it's a Beta unit...not that i could afford it ^^ I'm not sure what's the wattage of my PSU(i couldn't open the casing because it's sealed by those ^#$%^#$PC Depot guys due to their 'waranty'...if there's other ways to find out?) and i feel pity to mate some not so performance part with my quad core but i simply can't find the parts here in penang unless i go down to kl to get it....sigh Do you think that those parts can support any OC?

just cant imagin running those QX and the rest of the components wif only 250w...and i dun think we have 250W of truepower...which only means that on normal usage, it might be less than 250w and IIRC, the QX alone needed 125W to operate...no offense but this is really something!

bro...i guess you haven't played around with the BIOS yet...i got the same result as you when i first plug in my QX6700... i don't know why the default speed is 1.6Ghz... but no problem la..just increase ur multiplier will do... for this proc, the stock speed should be 2.66Ghz... AceCombat, I think its time for you to move on WC kits. The temps are not pleasing.

I'm yet to see anyone here can compare the performance of DHT with other coolers that most of us are using like Scythe, Thermalright, TT, Gemini II etc. Let's ask sup3rfly for another HSF roundup.

Not bad for the performance. Judging from the charts given, it more or less performs like AceCombat's. Is QX6700's TDP same with QX6850 right with 130W?

AceCombat's core temp has a max of 75'c! And he's using thermaltake big typhoon. We do know that the thermaltake is good but the TR ultra extreme is much better! And in that review, the xigmatek was almost as good as the TR ultra extreme although it had only 3 heatpipes!!! QX6700 = QX6850 = 130w TDP.

Thermalright Ultra Extreme is way better than TT big typhoon according to Anandtech but not Hexus.net.
