Well, honestly at this point its abit of a risk whenever you send it to a non-authorized center. They have a small little machine that can check the battery information etc that claims its ori bla bla bla but i have no common knowledge on how accurate / trustable that is.

What i rely on is their reputation and also their word guarantee that if i found out its not original they will change it for me again and pretty much at that. 😂

Honestly when i was there, they do look pretty genuine in term of service and honesty 😂

Those who send their phone for battery replacement, do we have to reset and wipe off everything in the phone before sending?

It all depends on the original battery’s status. If it wasn’t in a degraded condition prior to replacement, performance wouldn’t have been throttled by the os.

I’m running 11b6 on my ip6 and the battery health status is 100% according to the os. Nevertheless, 11.3 does feel a bit snappier than 11.2. Maybe due to improvements in the os and really nothing to do with the battery

Can say the same about Apple store diagnosis too, no?

I’ll probably change batt before the end of the year anyway. RM129 is cheap considering Apple’s normal pricing.

just got my iphone X about 10 days ago.
and was looking to sell-off my iphone 6+ 16gb (MY set). May I know how much is the current market price  ? if it reasonable i might wanna let it go.

* LCD screen cracked but still fully functional.
* iphone condition 9/10.
* good battery life-span
* well taken care phone with casing on it all the time.

Machines refuse to replace my iphone 6 plus battery as they claim my phone body is bent.

Anyone faced such issue before?

well, they snap a photo and emailed to me, showing a little bit of bent. To be honest, I have not seen this bent before I send in my device to Machines. I not very sure whether this bent occur before I send in my device or is caused by the handling of Machines. I will need to go and inspect the device to find out more. I have read and heard about iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Bendgate issue after I bought my iphone 6 plus and I suspect this has anything to do with the same issue. I did not purposely apply any force to my phone to cause this bend.  I think Apple also aware of this issue and make improvement on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus based on the thicker body at the areas around the Home and volume buttons - 1.9mm (6s/6s+) versus 1.14mm (6/6+). All of those problems (under performing battery due to voltage and body bent due to thin phone body) are not my fault and I have to pay RM129 for the battery replacement. But yet Machines refuse to replace the battery for the problem that is not caused by me.

thinking of sending wife's phone for batt replacement too...
unfortunately she got into some screen crack lately (both SP and the display)
everything functional though...

there is no chance they will accept for replacement right, given the risk of cracked screen damage further during replacement?
but if i change the display outside (way cheaper than the rate at Machines, etc), would they find out later and void the replacement eligibility just for the display that not from them?

Need to update to latest OS 11.3

This year just for ip 6/6+/6s/6s+/7/7+ only.

Ip 8/8+/x no news yet.

I been there at apple time square the staff said that not for latest models.

Btw, do you have any proof of quotation from apple service centre at time square n klcc?

omg it sounds like my old ip 6p doesnt qualify due to change screen before by 3rd party
