can u describe your devices, how are they connected, arc, optical, if yamaha is HTIB, etc..?

single hdmi cable to tv.. this hdmi cable will send video to tv only.

afaik, to get hdmi ARC, u use another HDMI tv->AVR, set it correctly.

can't remember too well, but I think hdmi 1 or 2 can do it.

so, yes, u need to use another hdmi cable, do the settings right.

alternatively, save hdmi cable... use toslink optical cable tv->AVR.

result is the same - tv is rated DOLBY DIGITAL only.

please read e-manual again... all is explained there.

yes, HDMI arc can be messed up by some devices... hyppbox is another common culprit.

android boxes, i wudn't know which cause or dun cause ARC issue.

i use optical output, all is good, whether tv android apps or ext devices input direct to tv.

if u tried hdmi1 no good, can try hdmi2 and see how.

hdmi1, 2 are capable of 4k hdr, chroma 444; not hdmi3, 4.

Hi, this is a different model. Notice the model number ends with ...6500x and not 6800x. 6500x is a non-android smart tv which you cannot install other program.  Now there's sales on www.goshop.com.my . you can get one at less than RM3050 after 10% discount.

6800x model also comes with more powerful picture processing capabilities and better sound as stated in their specs. Although I think if you get a 6500x, you can still source for a good Android box to complement it.

i am just "warning" u that if u r used to a samll TV, watching low grade videos on a big TV will give your eyes some strain.

u will probably hate it, curse and swear why u bot such a big tv.

really, even for 720p videos, at 10ft... it will take yr eyes a while to accept it.

astro and unifitv HD channels are 1080i; netflix HD is highly compressed - these are ok.

SD channels, bad!

however, if u playback full 1080p/2160p videos, 60" delivers very nice picture.

i think it is all about the size of the screen that need more pixels to produce sharp, rich color picture.

simply can't get good picture with low grade videos unless on small/very small screen.

hence, my repeated calls for 50" or lower if u r not watching high resolution stuff.

4k broadcast by IPTVs will be answer to large TV's - sky, bein and many others already doing since a few years ago; astro just introducing...

the audio lags like 0.5s, for both online streaming and local playback. same thing happens when i replace the tvbox with a PC

i called to sharp, the technician told me it is becos the signal conversion between analog and digital (which i do not understand what he is saying or he is trying to bs me, as i using all hdmi connection, i assume my signal is all digital)

yea, it is a low end soundbar, got it rm7xx last time

it doesnt have any audio sync setting, as it has very basic setting. I bought the soundbar to sony center, they checked and tested, found nothing wrong with the unit.

so i assume the ARC connection got problem, also tried using another hdmi 2.0 cable, doesnt help

Try restarting with ABOUT in settings. It loses connection sometimes.

UA6800x is not a gud TV, I already claimed warranty, replacement ck1x, much better model.
