I see i wonder if i buy from their physical shop will have the same pricing, cuz i'm a bit skeptical for online purchase of TV biggrin.gif

Do they provide free delivery and installation services?
*
I have been to their shop, the discount they gave is still RM100++ more expensive than purchase online although they gave you additional RM200 voucher which CANNOT be use for current purchase deduction.
The delivery is free by their own delivery services. I am not sure if they provide free installation services as i haven't received mine yet, but you can ask them on the purchase page.
I decide to install it myself.

I see, means they dont provide delivery service on the same day or next day...how long have you been waiting for the tv?

I would love to install myself too, but i'm afraid i couldn't lift the 60/55 inch tv properly by myself as i'm only living with my wife and she's currently pregnant biggrin.gif

Will try to ask them on the purchase page....but desa is giving 5 years warranty if not mistaken..need to consider also biggrin.gif

u mean it is in portrait?

to get landscape, u need to install/activate adaptive/rotation lock app.
*
I think that app was not designed with landscape mode. laugh.gif

I see, how's the HDR performance on UA6800x? Is it bright enough for HDR contents? I read some owners in this thread that the PQ is not as good as UE630X, abit worried there

yea, UA6800X is value for money, i'm just afraid that my eyes couldnt see the whole content of the TV if i sit within 7-8ft, 55 inch will be the sweet spot for me. According to rtings's distance calculator, i should get 55 inch for optimum viewing experience.

However, i went to see the UA6800x in the showroom, i find it acceptable...lol, very dilemma
*
brightnesswise, it's fine.

when the 6800x detects HDR, it will auto turn off OPC and kick in some other settings to bring it to the right brightness.

630x does not do that. so, u gotta turn off manually or use some other setting to get the brightness.

not sure if it is due to 60" vs 50", i do somehow find the picture clarity of 6800x marginally inferior to 630x overall.

one thing to take note about this HDR thingy... the blacks are very black, the bright gets very bright.

e.g... a bright light in the darkness... the lighted part can be glaring while all else is pitch black.

need time to get used to it.... but can play around with the main and sub settings to get what u like best.

the colors are deeper and more vivid in HDR, of course.

Yiks, then i need to compare the PQ with the Sony again...i saw the 6800x's panel upclose, it seems that you can see some visible pixel (i.e. small boxes) on the screen, hence, i think the PQ is a bit inferior compared to 630X.

One thing bad about the sony X7500F is the IPS panel, the 'black' is not so black biggrin.gif

yeap, played with the settings on UE630x before, so many settings to fiddle with, in the end just use standard mode with adjusted contrast and brightness biggrin.gif

For contents of 4k30p below, u can use HDMI 1.4

For contents of 4k60p 4:4:4 color space and HDR - use HDMI 2.0 with 18 Gbps bandwidth support, if not mistaken, there's no difference between HDMI 2.0a and 2.0b, just make sure the cable is able to support 18Gbps can already

So,
HDMI and LAN cable is not.

it gets tricky if u r used to 50", then go 60 or 65"! biggrin.gif

also, it depends on the quality of the video u r playing... a 20gb 4k HDR rip won't give the same as a 80gb one or a 4k HDR bluray disc.

then, it's not like u r watching 4k hdr content all the time.

more likely 1080p 8bit SDR stuff - common rips, online streams, tv shows - that, the tv does very well.
