Just brought this..around rm2k with 5 years warranty

Bought 50" at ESH at RM2099 with 5 year warranty and a free keyboard RC
but no idea how to connect it ?
currently tested with aDrama HK drama and Netflix free 1month.

New software.....?

30800.20181205 security patch Oct 1, 2018.

just arrived... takes 10 mins only.

and yes, u can now playback HDD via installed player apps.... mx, vlc, archos, kodi.


if using kodi player with home theater, set the audio to passthru, ac, transcoding.

that will take care of all audio types.

since the TV can handle up yo dolby digital only, all higher audio types (dd+, ddtruehd, ddatmos, dts, dtshdma, dtsx) will be transcoded to DD.

which is acceptable.

Finally

which ESH? drop so fast ...u sure 6800x model?

i hv tested it for a while.

mx does not even do dolby, get only aac2.0.... not sure about vlc or archos.

kodi does.

and the native player continues to be poor... can't do dts at all, no transcoding... so, no audio for these.

There is a usb update option but i cant find it on the Sharp website...

firmware/security patch updates not too bad.

within 6 months, android7, android8, new security patch.

from predecessor ue630x experience, i will expect a couple more updates this year.

but not a higher android version, i would think.

no, android6 is final for ue630x.

but since android5 is still relevant, ue630x with android6 will still be good for a few more years, i wud think.
