I'm currently searching for my flight tickets to Japan (travelling in Nov). Tentative Travel Date: 3 - 20 Nov 2018
This will be my 2nd trip to Japan. Travelling with my wife (3rd trip) and kid (1st trip).
So far I found Singapore Airlines to be the cheapest option at MYR 4,366.30 (2 adults; 1 child). Do u guys think the price is ok?
Places that we plan to go are Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, Kawaguchi, Yokohama (day trip) and maybe Zao village.
still a long way to November, maybe you can wait for airasia free seat airasia free seat will be this month or next month, high chance on next month maybe around 1k per person, transit in KLIA2

Yea, was thinking of waiting for the free seats from AirAsia too but I've had few bad experiences with AirAsia before so not very keen on using them. That's why rather go with other airlines if their price is not too far off.

Thank you for your suggestion ya.

Average price of RM1400+ per pax is good! I bought my flight with SIA also around RM1450. Full carrier with all the services you can get, its certainly a good price. Especially when you have a child, do consider something more comfortable if you can afford it 7 hours is not a short flight, so comfort should be given some weightage.
For SIA, they give this price during promo. Dont miss the promo period.
Heheh.. I actually watched your video just before my earlier post. Very nice! Looks like u had a good time skiing. Is skiing available all year round at Zao? Can't seem to find this info. I plan to do a 3D2N trip to Zao. Probably go snowboard alone since my wife is not keen and my kid is still too young. Did u take a full day pass? Or just the 4 / 5 hours pass?

Yes, my thought exactly since this time I'll be travelling with a child. Your SIA flight u took previously landed at HND airport right?

Its an upcoming trip actually haha. Yes its gonna land in Haneda but flight back to KL departure will be from Narita. Transit in SG for both ways. Not a bad idea to leave from Narita coz I certainly want to stock up Shiroi Koibito and buy some souvenirs. The unfortunate part though is flight @ 10am. Have to check what time the shops open

Ah....ok. Upcoming flight. Nice. Mine will be from PG > SG > HND. Will discuss with my wife on the SIA flight tickets since the price is a good deal according to u guys Shiroi Koibito is tasty! Departing from Narita is good also cos got more shops and better amenities. Only downside is its further away from Tokyo.

Exactly. And with it being a 10am flight, i booked my last night near to Narita airport. The hotel will provide shuttle bus service to airport and its only 15min away. At least dont have to rush in the morning.
No, vast majority of ski resorts around the world only open in winter. Japanese ones if you're lucky they open in late November, but normally around early-mid December.
If want year-round skiing need to ski on the 4000m-high glaciers in Europe

That's a good deal. You can also try ANA and JAL to get the full Japanese experience. On ANA and JAL they serve bento boxes that are really good. I got my tickets via ANA two years ago for RM1.5k per pax. My upcoming trip via JAL is RM1.9k which I felt is expensive but at that time it was cheaper than ANA.
ANA's in-flight service is impeccable. The air stewardess are not only friendly but pretty as well (FYI I'm a straight girl) XD

Highly recommend ANA if the price is similar or within your budget. They are one of the best around for flights to Japan. Service is top class and food is good. ANA flights usually cost around RM1,700+ and above, depending on season.
Just back from my 9D9N trip to Japan Osaka Kyoto Nara Nagoya trip. Total spent 3.9k include flight accommodation transport food entrance ticket etc.
Recommend to use airbnb to save hotel cost. Cook own at least 2 meals for breakfast and dinner/lunch. Tamade is such cheap place to buy groceries and nice Japanese seafoods with cheap price. Eat bento is nice.
Going to Japan for the 4th time and will be bringing my waifu and it's her first time
planning to go around 8-10 days
thinking of doing either
the meme route
Osaka(with Kobe and Himeji) - Kyoto - Tokyo (with Hakone). This will be full 10 days Osaka 1 day (kuromon, aquarium and castle), Himeji and Kobe 1 day, Kyoto 3 days, Tokyo 5 days
or the Tokyo route (7-8 days)
Tokyo, Nikko, Hakone
which one is the best to bring waifu for her first timer? Kinda incline to bring her to use the meme route but a bit rushing. Wanted to do the Osaka route only but last year I alone oredi go there explore gao gao so wanted to try Tokyo
Booked my flight tickets with Singapore Airlines at MYR 4,366.30 nett. Travel date 2 - 19 Nov Gonna be an interesting trip this round with my little one.
Gotta start researching for Airbnb, DisneyLand tickets, places to go, etc... Any of u guys done a 3D2N at Tokyo Disneyland? Planning to stay at Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel. Looks like the cheapest option among the other Disney themed hotels.

Will be visiting Japan again maybe at Olympics
Her first time? I suggest to let her slowly enjoy by concentrating on one part - eg Kansai only or Tokyo only. No problem if you want to do both over the course of 10-11 days, but best to let her spend more time to slowly walk, see and enjoy one part of Japan?
