I bought this one. Unlimited means no daily limit. Once u finish up the 3GB, connection would be very very slow.

I heard that the mifi are not usable right now as most telco's in Japan are phasing out the 3G network. So the only option is to buy a sim and insert into our own phones for tethering ?

I’m using the SIM card in my own mifi device. Just had to activate it on my phone and then transfer to the mifi for tethering. So far no problem.

Nikko is currently approaching peak, very nice leaves around the shrines.
Ryuzu Falls up in Okunikko has already shed most of their leaves already.

There’s itinerary for you to see in Klook...Basically

RM213 - Just around Lake Kawaguchi area via bus
RM515 - half day in Kawaguchiko and then another half day in Hakone area. Take train back to Tokyo

Recommendation? Take RM213 if u just want to see Mt Fuji.

Best itinerary? Spend 1-2 night in Hakone and/or Lake Kawaguchi. Google Fuji-Hakone pass to cover your transportation

Nikko itself should be peak next week and there is the Light Up Nikko event at the shrines so you should be good!

But don't really need to bother with Ryuzu, Yudaki, Senjogahara etc coz not much to see already.
