Am traveling to Nishishinjuku Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo for work for 1 week. Am a bit worried because I am strict Indian vegetarian (no egg, no meat, no animal flesh). I have been trying to find on google for Indian vegetarian restaurants there but does not seem like anything within Nishishinjuku Shinjuku-ku area. I think my next option is to buy raw ingredients in supermarket. I am wondering if anyone of you has been to this place and if you have any advice on this. Thanks!

Also just to confirm, 2017, Malaysian passport doesn't need to get visa to enter Japan right?

Not sure if you have finalised your schedule or not, but after thinking a bit, may I give two suggestions:
A) Chitose airport - Lake Toya - Asahikawa/Biei/Furano/Tomamu - Sapporo drop luggage - return car - take train to Otaru

B) Chitose airport - Asahikawa/Biei/Furano/Tomamu - Lake Toya - Sapporo drop luggage - return car - take train to Otaru - Sapporo

Otaru no need overnight, all luggage at Sapporo for the last few days. You can take the late evening train from Otaru -> Sapporo

I prefer option B, remember Noboribetsu you can dip your leg into river onsen ? After walking many days, can relax there. Also, cover the long distance first to reduce the overall risk.

You still can drive to Otaru and return car late by 1 day. Where you plan to return car ? Airport/Sapporo city ? Cause I know mostly will have some surcharge if you don't return to the same location.

Also, you may think about repack and store few luggages at airport when return car, they have a limit like 48-72 hours storage. So at your last day, I'm sure with additional luggage from shopping/souvenirs/snacks, you don't have to drag so many luggages from airbnb to train station. Additional cost involve here.

The butter sandwich, you can get the plain transparent plastic packing which is cheapest per piece for own consumption at Furano (which I know, I'm sure somewhere else also got, but not in Sapporo city). Those paper wrap nicely are for gifts but more expensive, price is fixed everywhere, remember get GST refund.

Same with Shiroi Koibito, use calculator to find cheapest per piece for 12/18/21/24/36/48 packaging price fixed everywhere.

Some shops may put cheaper price, but that is without GST included. In the end, same same.

For the ropeway, yeah it should be the case...crowds at the bottom = crowds at the top

From Sapporo Station to New Chitose you can take the train. I think the first train is at 6am. You can check hyperdia or the New Chitose Airport webpage for train timings.

I checked the list on Digi website. It says JP DOCOMO.

Previously I have an Indian Boss who have the same diet as you. Normally he would just bring food for home. Once in a blue moon he will go to Indian restaurants and ask them for pure vegetarian. Some do actually understood the request. However I dont have the shops name but I know its definitely not Nishishinjuku,

Nope, not yet finalize so it can change anytime. That's a very good suggestion, I am also thinking to go for New Chitose -> Asahikawa -> Bieie -> Furano -> Tomamu -> Lake Toya -> Sapporo -> Otaru -> Sapporo, will try to plan out this way.

Yeap! Just thought of it after you say about it, beside the river onsen, could enjoy our tiring body at onsen resort at lake toya too

Most likely I will return it at Sapporo to save up sometime from purposely going over new chitose. So far the car rental I found, no surcharge for returning in new chitose/sapporo.

Hey everyone. First post here, so go easy on me haha.
Would be my second trip to Tokyo around mid April, but would be bringing a friend who has never been there this time.
We will not be visiting Hakone/Mt Fuji and etc.
My rough itinerary as below :

Day 1

- Reach Narita airport around 2pm. Taking the Narita express to Shinjuku. Haven't booked hotel, so any recommendations would be appreciated. Budget
RM300-350/night
- Will spend the evening and night walking and eating around Shinjuku

Day 2

- Shibuya
- Harajuku

Day 3

- Asakusa
- Akihabara
- Ueno(if time permits)
- Ginza

Day 4

- Odaiba
- Roponggi

Day 5

- Free and easy

Day 6

- 4.30pm flight back


It is a pretty breezy and no rush kind of trip. i'm aware of day/side trips in Nikko and Yokohama which we could slot into day 4/5, if we want.

Basically, i would like to ask the sifus here for recommendations on onsen(would avoid Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari cause it's more mainstream imo) and food(sushi,yakiniku,wagyu/kobe beef) Not looking for those high end and need booking kind of sushi meal though. Think a range of 6-8k yen would be awesome enough haha. Previously ate at Sushi Daiwa and it was unforgettable.

For now, i've found Uogashi Nihon Ichi, Shunkashuutou, Sushi Hirose and Tsugu Sushimasa which looks good to me
i know the last 2 is more exp but if it's worth it, then why not.

Guys, question. With Kansai-Hiroshima Pass, I dont have to pay for the Limited Express fare right? Given I just sit at non-reserved seat.
I am going to Hiroshima on the next day, so this pass is required for me. Upon checking, the line for other 2 spots I want to go were covered by this pass, Amanohashidate and Takeda Castle.
Just that I'm a bit uncertain about the Limited Express

Get first hand information - write or chat directly with Klook! From experience, their response is very fast. Also if they say no issue but in the end you did not get the ticket, at least you can claim from them saying your customer service say its possible.

With your pass, why you want to ride Limited Express when you can ride the Sanyo Shinkansen train between Shin-Osaka <> Hiroshima ?

But of course, to answer your question: Yes.

You can ride Ordinary Car - Non Reserved (look at the train platform to queue properly) without additional fare.

Nah...going to Hiroshima is on another day. I plan to go to Amanohashidata and Takeda the day before.
Last 4 days I'll be using only this pass
Day 1 Kyoto>Amanohashidate>Takeda>Kyoto
Day 2 Kyoto>Nara>Osaka
Day 3 Osaka>Hiroshima>Miyajima>Osaka
Day 4 Osaka town>KIX

oic, since you are nearby, try check out Kinosaki Onsen. BTW, I just notice you may take the same train I took, Kinosaki/Konotori. As answered above, yes can ride limited express non-reserve seat without additional fare.
