 Hotlink data charges problem

When I did not use & open DATA,
Why it open automatically and charge money every time? bangwall.gif

my hp is iphone 6s plus

Hi davykids,

As per checking on your screenshot, your current Hotlink number is come with the validity feature without the free basic internet.
Do check & make sure that your mobile internet & WIFI assist are off whenever there is no any mobile internet pass purchased under your number.

Any usage of internet without pre-purchase of the internet pass under your current plan will be incur the charges of RM10/50MB block.

Hotlink, it's time you put a stop this pay per use charge for data regardless of the package. No data subscription simply means no data required. Statics can cause electronic things to the change setting sometimes.

Thank you for your feedback on this.
For customer who keen to use data, we will always suggest them to upgrade their plan to our latest Hotlink Fast Plan to enjoy the free 8GB weekend data & free basic internet.
There is no data pay per use charges for all of our Hotlink Fast customer.

My hp is Hotlink Prepaid HYC plan,is no data plan, when i want use i will purchase the internet pass at *100#
but this time I did not use data and no open the mobile data at setting,
why automatically charge my balance money everyday?? (from 8 Dec ~ Today 15 Dec)

I get using my home Wifi, and when I'm not using my phone but my balance got deducted...Check E-statement shows during that period data charges for GPRS. why?

Thanks for your quick reply. Please think for a moment, why would anyone wants to use pay per use at Rm10/50 MB! when he can purchase 150MB/day at Rm3! So to simply charge Hotlink Bagus or non Hotlink Fast customers pay per use at Rm10/50MB is ridiculous.

I still think you should cancel this pay per use policy just like Maxis! Hotlink also need to understand that sometimes when anyone update the phone OS the setting too can be changed.

I totally agree with you on this.
It happened to me a few times. They just sucked your RM10 without you knowing.

Hi there. I’m too currently facing the same issue as you. I already called hotlink customercare and they open a case id for me, which would take 3-5 working days.

Hope you can update this thread if they manage to find a solution for you. TQ smile.gif

background app refresh is wifi
my mobile data switched off under settings, because my mobile no buy data plan.
However it turns itself back on automatically and off automatically.
when i check my e-Statement everyday kenal charges RM0.10~RM0.40 per day.
