Hotlink, it's time you put a stop this pay per use charge for data regardless of the package. No data subscription simply means no data required. Statics can cause electronic things to the change setting sometimes.

Hi HippyTony,

Thank you for your feedback on this.
For customer who keen to use data, we will always suggest them to upgrade their plan to our latest Hotlink Fast Plan to enjoy the free 8GB weekend data & free basic internet.
There is no data pay per use charges for all of our Hotlink Fast customer.

TQ

Thanks for your quick reply. Please think for a moment, why would anyone wants to use pay per use at Rm10/50 MB! when he can purchase 150MB/day at Rm3! So to simply charge Hotlink Bagus or non Hotlink Fast customers pay per use at Rm10/50MB is ridiculous.

I still think you should cancel this pay per use policy just like Maxis! Hotlink also need to understand that sometimes when anyone update the phone OS the setting too can be changed.

I had the same problem with my 6S too, when I was with Maxis postpaid but then Maxis had a system where they cancel the charges when the amount is small or use a short time. When I complained the CS said there are many settings in the phone that can trigger data usage. That is BS to me. I MNP to UMobile and I never had that problem any more.

Are you still having problems when u use it on another phone? My wife's phone (Android phone) is with Hotlink and has no problem.

This afternoon I found out your network deducted all my phone credit for the last 2 months even tho my phone settings have been deactivated from mobile data usage. After a long arguments, your CS finally agree to refund my credit.

To stop this “illegal” deductions, your CS gave me 3 options:
* buy a new 2G phone, don’t use a smartphone
* upgrade my bagus plan to Hotlink Red
* lastly, deactivate my phone network GPRS (5days required to reinstate GPRS)
The above options are NOT acceptable, your network has an issue and because you are unable to solve this “illegal” deductions. You are asking your customers to accept your incredible stupid options for your convenience.

iPhones have no clear cut way to stop Hotlink from this deduction. I had so many deductions that I decided to MNP. On my other Android phone I can stop it. The thing is, for so long no deduction whenever I have unselected data usage when my data expired. How is it no problems for the last 20+ years and now I have deductions even on my Android phone! Maxis/Hotlink is just plain lazy in taking of their customers.

Sorry can’t help you here, present line with Hotlink is 365 Bagus. The other line that I MNP is now my primary line. I need a monthly plan that is much cheaper than Maxis.
