just did my first 4 trips with grab. my opinion below.

1. if you are using your own car and you are a person that has an eye for hygiene, then grab is probably not for you as you cannot tell who will be riding in your car
2. short trips are not profitable unless you are gunning for incentive
3. out of my four trips, one is a group of three foreigners, i am not biased towards them but they are not really well mannered, i guess this is the bits and pieces that you get from this

i am not looking to earn money as i am just merely driving for fun. but if grab is your only job then i think you will be better off looking for a real job. my gross earning from 1.5 hour drive is a mere 10 ringgit. 23 fare - 12 petrol cost.

i wonder when people say you can earn money through driving grab, what do you really mean? is it by incentive?

Nice one. My guide is always try gain >RM40/hr. Incentives works best for me as we can get RM40/gross with low fuel usage.

Uber so quiet these few nights. I try install back Crap then I instantly headache and remember why I gantung kunci Grab for 2 weeks.

Red color on map but get RM6 high price. Kepala otak lu. Pick up at Times Square, I clicked I'm Here and rider instantly message me, "one minute." Kepala otak lu. I can't park at the entrance. Go in front a bit park at the side and block and entrance for Abam taxi. Luckily nothing happened. After more than 6 minutes only passenger showed up. If Uber I cancel already lo.

These few nights my Uber passengers kuai kuai wait for me ar pick up location. Tonight got weird weird pick up at side of the road but when I reach, passenger already there waving at me. Damn canggih man, Uber. Passenger was exactly at the pin location on the map. Grab still stuck in early 2000s technology land.

Wah must buy 4d today.. kena another klia ping just now.

Have to forgo high fare in penang airport...4 adults + 5 big luggages, how to fit ??? Damn some more said they can carry in front seats...must be desperate for cars after face many rejection.. already told them to book grab 6 seater but keep saying normal grab car can fit...

Yes a notification appears on top. Check your notificatiin setting for grab driver app. U may have blocked it

yesterdya after work in pj i open app to just test2 water.

st ping was close and very close drop off, reached pickup location and msg im here. no reply.
waiterd 3 minutes then suddenly rider called me asking me where i am. i said im at the busstop he tagged. then he say he wrongly put and ask me can come to him. his location is near but i dont want to waste my time ady. terus cancel,

the next ping was ok. damansara city to changkat raja chulan so getting nearer to my house.

the third ping was shit.

i was about 300meter from the pickup location when i got the ping. accepted and arrived there. see only an empty street. msg the rider im here. he replied yes. im saying to myself oh good a bangla..

then i msg him "u dekat mana, turun la, saya tak boley tunggu lama-lama"
then he replied he is at yy318 hotel. ok la just a few meters from where i was. went to the hotel and msg him again i already arrived.

then he said he was at wisma lts.

i terus cancel. wisma lts was at jalan pudu on the other side near jalan hang tuah, his pickup location was at shaw parade...

Yesterday my virgin trip pick up from there. Haha.

Heard of this place before.

When guard tell me have to register, then I realized I'm at the infamous place.

Go out time also the guard won't help you take your license. Fucking hell.

The fucking rider just want to go to the LRT station less than 1km away.

No wonder Malaysia got diabetes problem.

it almost 100% guarantee anti-gaming system running, means anti-camping system

i experienced this:

going to train station to fetch rider, but grab car camp there did not get any job and leave ( i can saw the phone & app from car in front)

going to one not so famous mall to pick up, also saw a fully wrap grab car sit there waiting no job while i come from 1km away

so either:

1) dont camping

2) camp at least 500m - 1km away, not just in front of the spot

btw, also saw the video of the chief techinical head in fb recently - quoting would assign job based on driver preference for short trip or long trip. i think that just a joke while they now disptach high fare job to hg and low fare job to flexi intentionally (unless really no drivers around that an exception). this way to reduce company loss on incentive giving out.

How to top up credits? Possible to do online banking top up?

at Sunway Pyramid, on the way out to Taylor already Pinged for Sunway Pyramid.
In front of K Avenue, on the way to Masjid India, 19 minutes to arrive, pinged for K Avenue.

Super efficient.

So have to slide to "Unavailable" while having rider. Else if forgot, kena.

Picked up some arab girl sri maya Jelatek going to arab school near the zoo. She was all simple when picked up suddenly sudah sampai i turned around to collect money, she changed into ninja holy crap so fast like spiderman 😄
