This is bugging me quite a bit, but it is the second month of using so it could be normal. Just want to confirm. Have a few questions to ask.
Card approved on 6/10.
Statement date is 20/10.
Due date is 9/11
1) I paid of more than my statement balance on 1/11, much much earlier than the due date (of course with some outstanding balance at that time). After paying, I notice that only my minimum payment is cleared off (RM50 -> RM0) but my statement balance isn't cleared off. Will this only be reflected on the next statement date (20/11) or did I screw up?
2) Credit card repayment is just a simple transfer like any other bank transfer? I assume so because when I did try transferring a small amount from another bank, it reflects by decreasing my outstanding balance pretty immediately. I did try to pay through CIMB's own Clicks but the effect is the same. Outstanding balance decreased, statement balance unchanged

it's a statement, a record of your past statement cycle usage
same like your TNB or Maxis or Unifi bill. you paid the bills, does the previous statement amount changed to 0.00?
you should look at the Outstanding Balance instead, as this balance is dynamic (increase from usage, decrease from payment)
